Think about it. They supported it long after many countries abolished it. That's messed up. It's what jesus would want right?
The money dried up.Think about it. They supported it long after many countries abolished it. That's messed up. It's what jesus would want right?
It also supported Hitler and his Nazis. The money dried up.
Is it lost on you that if you had been born in the 17 and 1800s you likely would have been pro slavery? Or at the very least been tolerant of slavery? Or are you one of those special people that literally believes if you had been born 22-3 hundred years ago you would have been born with the knowledge of modern society?Think about it. The british banned slavery in 1807. People knew slavery was wrong. The church should have known better. Is it lost on you that if you had been born in the 17 and 1800s you likely would have been pro slavery? Or at the very least been tolerant of slavery? BTW...have you EVER engaged in the ongoing slave trade TODAY that impacts 40+ million men, women, and children?
Perhaps...but you still miss the obvious point. Its idiotic for people in 2023 to point fingers at history. Doing so demonstrates quite clearly the inability ot understanmd that had you been born then, you likely would be the person you bitch and cry about today. The british banned slavery in 1807. Bad logic. Just because everyone in your time is racist, it doesn't make racism okay.Perhaps...but you still miss the obvious point. Its idiotic for people in 2023 to point fingers at history. No one said anything about racism being 'ok'. History is the study of what happened. Historians take into account social norms in understanding the development of people and societies. People like you live in 2023 and piss yourselves over selective periods of history. You piss yourself over slavery in the US...not because you have any interest in the subject or any real empathy for anyone involved but because you believe you can somehow today use the events of sophistry to further an idiotic political agenda. You ignore the global slave trade, you ignore the aboriginal; slave practices that happened long before the introduction of European settlers...hell you even completely ignore the 40 million slaves being held TODAY...Bad logic. Just because everyone in your time is racist, it doesn't make racism okay.
