ROFL! Another good one! Thanks.
The fact remains the Boy Scout leader/Church Youth Group leader committed battery.
Criminal Assault and Battery Law | Justia
The act of battery does not require that the victim is severely injured or traumatized. Any type of touching that the victim considers harmful or offensive can be sufficient. For example, if a woman pours a mug of hot water on someone else, this could be a battery. To go even further, a classic case of a battery that does not result in pain or injury is when the perpetrator spits on the victim. However, a defendant will not be held liable for contact that is deemed offensive only because the victim is abnormally sensitive. The standard of “offensiveness” is determined from the perspective of an ordinary individual.
Strange men whacking the butts of any female relative would be seen by most people as offensive.
How about "let justice prevail"?Let's hope he gets a sensible judge and not a Democrat.
The left won't be the ones trying him. If that happens, it'll be the local court, and he'll have the chance to defend himself before a judge. That's the way it's supposed to work. If he didn't want that, why did he break the law?
Agreed on justice prevailing. Personally, unlike Mashmont, I prefer Judges to be unbiased and apolitical. Also, unlike Mashmont, I consider strange men whacking someone's mother, sister or daughter to be offensive.

Exactly. Most people here are so leftwing and certainly in the minority of what real people think
He got caught up in the excitement of the moment.
A bunch of runners passed the young lady, and he wanted to signify his joy by physically saying "Hi."
He knew that he was on TV, so he did not mean any malicious intent.
He has apologized.
I hope that she is a classy lady and will accept the apology and move on.
She should not want him to be arrested and put on trial for such a trivial matter.
Before this incident, she was an unknown TV reporter.
Today she is a star of sorts. In a sense, she should thank him for putting her on the map.
What would be just?
I don't disagree that the whacking of the butt was offensive. It was a bad decision on the runners part. He has been banned from further events.
What I find interesting is how people are reacting to this bad decision from the runner. imo, it is blown way out of proportion.
It is good to know that so many here have never done anything that they regret in their lives to another person. :lamo
Here we have a woman assaulted on camera, and people are blaming her for being too sensitive, or excusing him by saying that it was always this way. This is exactly what happens in regards to men behaving badly toward women.
And people wonder why there is a me too movement. It's because of things like this. We have direct evidence of what happened, and still she is blamed he is excused.
Not according to the last 5 out of 7 Presidential elections.
Right. Tell me which leftwing judge is unbiased and apolitical.

Translation: I stand by my post advocating biased and political rightwing judges.
LOL
I think all judges should be conservative. That way we can get rid of these crazy decisions.
Thanks for confirming my translation.
No, I don't grab women sexually, and neither did he. Please stop with the strawman. That's all I've heard on here.
Republicans won 3 of the last 7 elections and 3 of the last 5. Not sure what your point is.
What you're observing is the backlash to the overstepping of the highly organized and funded Marxist 'metoo' movement
They've resoundingly lost the popular vote in every election since 2004. That sure doesn't sound like most people agree with them.
A backlash? To what? Women finally standing up and saying that this type of behavior is not appropriate and we will not stand for it?
What parts do you consider to be blown out of proportion? What do you think is the appropriate justice for this case? Both for the victim and the perpetrator?
I'm sure all of the mature adults here (note the qualifications!) have done things they regret. Some were caught, some weren't.
Let's hope he gets a sensible judge and not a Democrat.
