Several officials in Lincoln County, Oregon have received an anonymous letter urging people to report "brown folks" they suspect are undocumented immigrants, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.

"The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office recently learned about a letter being circulated throughout Lincoln County which encourages community members to track and report information regarding people of color, specifically community members that are believed to be undocumented," the sheriff's office posted on Facebook.

"We want to be unequivocal in our stance: this type of behavior is harmful, divisive, and inconsistent with the values we uphold as public servants and community members," continued the post, signed by Sheriff Curtis Landers. "Targeting individuals in this manner erodes trust and undermines the sense of safety and inclusion that we strive to maintain in Lincoln County."

The anonymous letter, a copy of which was obtained by ABC News, is riddled with typos and makes various threats against undocumented immigrants.

There are many volatile Americans who are not only willing, but anxious to drag people out of the homes and abduct them from their places of work in order to ship them off to one of Trump's detainment camps. This is a sad epitaph for this country.

Oregon is a joke of a state now.
 
I'm basing this on a gut feeling, and I could be wrong, but this doesn't pass the smell test for me.

Just how it's written to my eyes looks like a liberal/anti-Trumper pretending to be a racist MAGA.

If so they are even lower than a Trumper cheering this on. Innocent people are going to be frightened or hurt prank or no prank.

Yep. Anyone could write that letter to garner support for illegal aliens which is the cash cow now for Oregon. This smacks of a Jessie Smollet ruse, as well as claims by black politicians that they have been subject to death threats so they can justify armed security guards while the rest of the public is left defenseless.

I don't care who I offend or why. If you think I am a dick, I lose no sleep over it. You are some anonymous poster. I don't even care if people I know or in my family think I am a dick. I like the line that Matt Gaetz used when asked by a liberal reporter if someone might be offended by something he said. He said, "Be offended".

Those are fabrications by leftists. They think being a Nationalist represents "hate" or calli8ng Kamala a Communist is hate speech. Don't believe anything The Hill prints.

It's very typical for far-right Trump supporters to excuse, wave-away, dismiss or deminish a threat coming from far-right extremists. They did not distribute out those flyers for no reason. They will have others, just like you and just like them, who will follow their suggestions and do what they feel is 'right' in order to rid this country of people with brown skin.
 
I will say this- it's typically leftist that claim right wingers want all the "brown" people out. I've never seen a rightie call out illegal immigrants as brown people. I'm not going to fall for something just because some anonymous letter makes it seems one way.

Either way it's a horrible letter and hopefully they can trace it back and hold someone accountable.
