The Biden Non Covid Plan

Biden blasts Trump for his handling of the Coronavirus. The left says we should have done what Europe did. Europe is exploding with new cases. Biden claims he has a plan. His plan is identical to the Trump plan. The only thing different is that Biden encourages people to wear masks while Trump does not. Everything in the Biden plan is what Trump has already been doing, including leaving a lot up to the governors, including mask wearing. Trump has left it up to the governors while Biden says that he would encourage governors to mandate wearing masks while also admitting that you can't issue a mask mandate from the federal level, it would have to be left up to the governors. BUT 33 states actually already have a mask mandate, including liberal California who issued a mask mandate in the middle of June while they were having over 4,000 cases per day.

Well, guess what? After about 5 months of a mask mandate, yesterday California had 4889 new cases for the day. Ditto pretty much every state with a mask mandate, their numbers are similar today to the start of the mask mandate. So, with just about every state having a mask mandate and most of those states being worse today than they were at the beginning of their mask mandates, what is Biden going to do for us regarding Covid? Most states already have a mask mandate that he blasts Trump about. Is Biden going to be able to get the few remaining states without a mask mandate to issue one? I highly doubt it. And, stats are showing increasing numbers in the states with a mask mandate. So there really is nothing different that would happen regarding Covid with a Biden presidency.

Biden Plan: Wear a mask, dont call epidemiologists idiots, avoid packing maskless people together like sardines, stop blaming it on china and Dem govs., .....

The Biden plan wouldn't consist of one extra person wearing a mask. That's the point of the thread. 33 states already have mask mandates that aren't working and Biden isn't going to be able to convince the other 17 states to issue a mask mandate.

Out of the two otherwise identical plans, I'll take the one that encourages a known and quantifiable reduction in the infection rates.

Presidents have lied to Americans about bad situations ever since the late 1700's. Do you think that if an asteroid was coming to destroy our planet that Biden would be up front and honest with Americans about it? No, he would want us going out as civilized human beings instead of mass crime, etc in our last few days.

But this thread is about 33 states already having mask mandates (that aren't working). So, under Trump, 33 states have a mask mandate. Do you think Biden would get any of the other 17 states? He's already said that you can't issue a federal mask mandate. How many people not wearing masks now would actually wear masks under Biden? And, how many people would be proud to defy a Biden mask mandate? Many would be encouraged to rub it in Biden's face by not wearing masks when they are wearing them now.

Keep making excuses about how the moron President panicked and then turned it around on us saying we couldn't handle it. Of course if he would have done the right thing and brought the country together against this thing he couldn't play the victim card and make it all about himself like the pansy he is.
