The 9th of Av

I have always believed to understand the New Testament a Christian must first study the Old for it was which Jesus constantly quoted. And to have a full understanding, one must have a primer in Judaism first to acquire such an understanding.

Av is the 5th month in the Jewish calendar. It is the same calendar the Lord put forth in the Scripture for his people to follow depicting all feasts and festivals as they had prophetic meaning for all who believe.
Av 9th is our August 12-13 quickly approaching. It is the climax of three weeks in mourning for all the times His people did not put their trust in Him and had catastrophic consequences.

What do you make of all this? Jews see this as another confirmation of the deeply held conviction that history isn't haphazard; events – even terrible ones – are part of a Divine plan and have spiritual meaning. nope.

history is a struggle between good and evil; but evil likes to hide and paint themselves as good. most sheep can't see thru that and accept whatever they are told by fake news and politicians. we can do better; but we have to first start thinking for ourselves.

christians need to value Galatians 5 and holiness, but many say i am always saved so what is the issue.

i find that the early christian church understood the issue as recorded by the ante-Nicene writers commonly available to read.
