For ages men and women have been at war with each other over the question whether the toilet seat should stay open or closed.
But the war has been unnecessary as the wrong question was being asked.
The question that should have been asked is................ should the toilet seat LID by up or down?
You see, the seat itself has to be down because if get up in the night half asleep and go to sit and the seat is up you are gonna have a rude surprise. BUT if the seat is down but the lids is up, you don't risk cracking the lid if it's down and you are ready to go if there is an emergeny because the seat is down but the lid is up.
Right ladies?
BUT........................apparently there is a belief out there that when you flush with the toilet lid up you risk spreading viruses and bacteria, etc.
So what does AI say about this?
AI Overview

While it might seem intuitive that leaving the toilet seat lid up could lead to more germ spread, research suggests there's not a significant difference in the spread of germs whether the lid is up or down during flushing. A study published in the American Journal of Infection Control found that potentially dangerous germs may spread to surrounding surfaces regardless of the lid's position, though the trajectory of the aerosol plume might be altered.
So, ladies and germs, what will it be, lid up or down?
