Good to know there are still sane people who don't fall for the trend and who aren't ashamed of their heritage. The school will keep the Confederate flag together with its traditions and related activities. I hope there will be more people in the South standing for their right to honor their heritage. Their ancestors would be proud of them. The Confederate flag is a part of our common heritage and we should respect it.

Whenever someone brings up "Southern heritage" and the Confederate flag I'm always left wandering what exactly "Southern Heritage" is and why a flag that represented sore losers represents the South better than the United States flag?

High school students don't know what the hell they are talking about, hope this helps.

It is literally, and figuratively

the flag of losers.
No, this is the flag of winners. Even after losing the war they succeeded in keeping their heritage. Those who attack this flag and call it racist are real losers. Because they hate everything they can't understand.

That flag disappeared after the south's crushing defeat.

It only reappeared in response to the civil rights movement. Opposition to civil rights for black people. That's the heritage it represents now.

I think I understand that flag a lot better than you do, my friend.
