Tennessee Republican resigns from House

Rep. Mark Green (R-Tenn.) has resigned from the House, further shrinking the GOP’s narrow majority in the chamber.

There are now 219 Republicans and 212 Democrats in the lower chamber, just a seven-seat difference as tensions rise over the 2026 midterms in which Democrats hope to take back the majority.

Democrats are likely to get the seats they need to get the majority in the house.

Once this happens, Trump will be impeached. Then Vance will be impeached, and the new speaker will become the acting president. Once that happens, the republican traitor squad WILL be held accountable for their bad behavior.

Trump might be impeached if the Democrats take the House (and I expect they will), but until there are 67 Senators willing to vote for him to be removed, your fantasy will never come to pass.

Is this a seat that could potentially go to a Democrat? From Tennessee? Really?

Maybe not this one in particular but the democrats will have enough to take the majority.

Let’s hope you’re right. I am starting to worry that this country is too far gone for any course corrections at this point.

TN CD-7 went 60/40 R in the last election. This one will stay Republican.

I'm not sure how you expect any of this to happen. What's your premise for this wide scale level of impeachment?

He give a reason?

Supporters of Democrats have to STOP this impeachment talk, it's not a matter if he should be impeached, it's just that it makes Dems look desperate.
AND for the Righties, talk of investigating Biden or Obama is the same thing. Even worse, THAT is pure politics.

With the majority in the house, an impeachment vote will pass.

The strain will be enough to remove Trump. He will likely have a coronary... or possibly a stroke.

Vance will be a lame duck. If he lasts the other two years, he will not be re-elected. The Democrats will take the White Houe back. I hope they send Dumpletits' estate a bill for the restoration of the Rose Garden and every single cent that was spent on secret service protection for dumpletits and his grifter family.

Impeaching Trump a third time would be as stupid as regressive progs could get and I don’t see Casar doing it.

You could see the Kentucky Republican flip parties, but Massie enjoys being this maverick of an enigma.

I agree with slightly-leaning righties that Democrats like Beshear can get elected to the rightie statehouses, but that he can’t get elected to the House or Senate from KY.

Kentucky is as backwards a state as there is.

Didn’t happen the first two impeachments. But wish in one hand and shit in the other and see which one fills up faster.

JD Vance will be elected on his own merits in 2028 and 2032. Who are the Dems going to run against him? AOC? Newsom?

Not that I heard.
I did not see it either. Weird that they would not include a why to the resignation.
Must have some bad skeletons in the closet, or he hates Trump and wants out.

History would understand it.

In fact, it would be puzzling to future historians if there weren't more impeachments. What's happening in this country right now is really bizarre.

Vance and Beshear have history.
Along with the CuckNN Scott Jennings from KY.

Not exactly surprised. The Republicans are going to lose the majority in the HoR come the midterms.

Justice must be done. We are all suffering and will suffer until justice is done. This situation is entirely untenable.

Historians would understand this little political idea called the ‘SENATE’.

Then you’re not watching new remaps in Texas and Ohio, just to begin with.
Holy cow, when I come out of sports, I find the left and L-o-C completely daft.

We are suffering further abuses because of the injustices that we allow. I know you just love hating on us but we’re not going to be silent until justice is done.

Um, yeah. I'm going to have to go ahead and sort of disagree with you there.
