He is innocent until proven guilty.

Most church-goers are more atheistic in practice than spiritual, hence this individual practicing his atheism like the Marquis de Sade and proving where his real loyalty lies - his atheistic vices.

In fact it seems that in sacred texts, those who were truly spiritual found truth through solitary contemplation of higher things, rather than capitalism's attempts to market religion to masses.
