I understand that. What I am saying is that people are going to think it's racist because of the history. Someone in hospitality should have realized this. I am sure he has the sense to not tell a black client that they look like a chimp, even if they do.

And that's why this guy screwed up. He invited people to speculate that he is a racist.

White, Tennessee, CEO, sending a racist email to the PRESS about the first lady?

It's not racism he'd be fired for necessarily, they probably already know he's racist, it's because he made a huge blunder in a public way, as CEO of an association that could not have been more inappropriately named considering his behavior.

You don't seem to have a valid point. Bush would have to be compared to a cracker for any similarity whatsoever.
Or, maybe a slice of white bread.
