I've never had this happen, but I always chuckle when I go for an oil change and the pimply-faced kid jumps in and jumps back out to get someone who knows how to drive a stick.

Once I even had to pull it in myself, because nobody there knew how.

Don't know where you get your oil changes, but I have never seen a person that does an oiil change yet that can't drive a stick shift. I live in Reno, NV and while a small town compared to Denver, CO I have NEVER ran into this problem.

That's probably because marijuana is still illegal in Nevada.

There are a lot of people under the age of forty who are clueless on how to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission.

There are probably many under the age of fifty who know how to drive a stick shift but would be grinding the gears of any car older than a 1955 because they don't know how to double clutch a three speed transmission. You remember those classic cars with the stick shift on the steering column ?

ive always known to drive a stick since my 60 doge, however i had trouble with many cars due to my twitchy leg, that however stopped when i injured my back, now i can operate ny stick so long as the pedals arent too close together or my knees dont hit the dash first.my boss asked me why i couldnt drive a hyundai stick,i said im too big,the car was designed for an 80 pound 4 foot 6 korean woman,my feet touched both the clutch and brake at the same time, without trying.

but for them crazy teenagers, eah most cant drive stick, its too complicated for em.but ofcourse alot is too complicated for em,where i live, some teenagers tried to rob 2 gas stations and a convenience store, they tried the two gas stations before caught.problem was both gas stations and the convenience store were withing spitting distance of the police station, one would think its stupid to commit a crime right next to law enforcement, but teenagers aint too bright.
