Oklahoma teachers are getting a closer look at the God Bless the USA Bible that has been placed in many classrooms across the state. Some were surprised by what they did not see. In the back, the Bibles included the Constitution, but Amendments 11-27 were missing.

So it appears the new Bibles distributed in Oklahoma schools are missing some pretty key parts of the US Constitution. It seems a bit odd to want to include this in a Bible given it is a religious text and not a political one, but also leaving out the sections seems to be a disservice to the Constitution, especially since it leaves out some key post Civil War amendments.

It would have cost 8 cents more to print all the amendments.

The Bible belongs at home and in your place of worship - if you so choose.
It does not belong in public schools.

This is all performative.

No one in those schools is going to read either the Bible or the Constitution and I would be thrilled if students did either.

If someone really can't get access to a Bible or the US Constitution in 2025 then our schools are really failing us.

Interesting. As a conservative, I find this appalling.
"The decision was made to only include the original constitution, not the amendments later made".
That is absurd.

Yeah, well leave it to Oklahoma to ignore the amendments that outlawed slavery, and gave blacks and women the right to vote. Kids don't need to read about that.

The conservative “good ole days” they want to bring back.

Bibles in public schools are deeply problematic. They should not be there.
Trump-branded bibles are much, much worse.

Remember, that "Bible" was licensed to use the Trump name in its promotion. Oklahoma has figured out a way to include the taxpayers in on the grift. Well done!

Absolutely not. Most of those amendments were sponsored by republicans.

Liberal, big government, anti-states rights, anti-traditional values politicians sponsored those amendments.

Conservatives opposed them.

Indeed. The inclusion of political documents in a Bible is pretty interesting as well, since Matthew 22:21 seems keen on keeping religion and politics in their own camps.

I don't like any of it. Supplying Bibles to kids in a public school - absolutely not. You can't get more state sponsored than that.
I don't like this equally as much as supplying kids with LGBQT agenda books.
Grade/Middle schools are not the place to push any agendas or politics or religion. They are way-way too young to understand

I have no issue with public schools offering classes about religions as a whole, since religions are a subject of study and I would argue the same for LGBTQ classes and literature. I do agree that there are age appropriate considerations with some topics.
