Taxpayers to drop another $1.2 million on new batch of Trumpified ICE vehicles

I appreciate the sentiment, but they just spent $170 billion on 'immigration enforcement'. That's a drop in the bucket of the money.

So...people complain that ICE is conducting operations using unmarked/unidentified vehicles and now people are complaining that ICE is spending money to mark/identify their vehicles.

LOL!!

No.

Oh...

So you agree with this...

“The ICE design screams ‘Look at us – we're big, we're mean, and we're here whether you like it or not,’” Walter Olson, a senior fellow at the Cato Institute, previously told The Independent. “That's a message that it sends both to local residents and also to local elected officials.”

Perhaps y'all need a safe space.

Me? I WANT illegal aliens to know "we're big, we're mean, and we're here whether you like it or not". And I don't give a rat's ass if residents and local elected officials have chapped asses about it.

Protect the border, get rid of illegals, seems reasonable to me. We need to stop being weak on issues. These are illegals and they need to be sent home.
I've never said illegal aliens shouldn't be deported. If you're here illegally, the Federal Government has every right to remove you.

More wasted money.

How many BILLIONS have been spent on providing housing, food, spending money, etc. for the tens of millions of Illegal immigrants who've been let in under the Biden Administration's open border policies?

Yet you are complaining about money being spent on improving the ability for ICE agents to find, capture, and deport those tens of millions?

Cut me a break. Trump asked Congress for money to deal with the problem and Congress voted to do so.

Disagree.
Trampling over people's rights is what government does best.

Mark
That's such a childish, spoiled view unworthy of a free person not understanding how governments and rights function; it actually helps bring government that will violate rights, as we have now (though luckily you didn't vote for that president. Not sure how you voted for legislators).

From the DOGE fanboy, this is hilarious

I didn’t join DP until right after the 2024 election, but I’ve hosted an email political discussion group for five years now, and all the members there (especially the Progressives/Democrats) will tell you that I was VERY hard on Biden when he was president, especially over the illegal immigration issue. As a matter of fact, that particular issue is one of hte biggest reasons why I never vote for Democrats.

I voted Republican down-ballot. That will be the last time I do so. Will be voting Libertarian going forward.

Mark
you could do worse. like voting socialist...lol...
i dont believe a vote is "wasted". if you dont vote for the top candidates in a close election. yes you wasted your opportunity.

B ut how many times in political coverage does anyone see/hear coverage on 3rd party. Not even a passing mention.
At least on election coverage citizens hear the Libertarian Party....might make one think

I'm libertarian ( all other considerations being weighed) to the point the government needs to cutback on authority
Because it's likely 1/2 assed policy at someone else's expense, that can only happen by government fiat

I definitely consider myself a Conservative, but unfortunately my brand of Conservatism died decades ago. And I like a lot of Libertarians. I’ve said numerous times before on this forum that Thomas Massie, a Libertarian Republican, is my favorite member of Congress. Also, my vote for Ron Paul in the 2012 GOP presidential primary is the one I’m most proud of. I also voted for Michael Badnaarik in 2004 and Gary Johnson in 2012 and 2016, and I wish I’d voted for Bob Barr in 2008 instead of the McCain/Palin ticket.

I’ve got a lot of policy disagreements with Libertarians, but as of right now, I see them as the best fit for me. Barring some minor exceptions (like Massie, who’s really a Libertarian), today’s Republican Party is just too far gone for me to support.

I personally know Trump AND Harris supporters who are pissed at me because I live in Michigan, a swing state, and yet did a write-in vote. I couldn’t even vote for the Libertarian candidate that year (or in 2020) because I thought he was terrible. And btw, I wasn’t alone there; some Libertarians I know hated Chase Oliver so much that they voted for Trump.

Given what I’m now seeing from both the Republican and Democrat parties, I don’t regret my mistake not to vote for either major party candidate last November.

Go after the employers, not relatively poor folks trying to better their lives. And recognize how our society is subsidized by their labor. Don’t like ‘em, put on a leaf blower and displace them.

Those "Libertarians" who voted for Trump voted for authoritarianism.
