Yep.. religion dont matter.. aspects of society have violent people in it. Gangs, racist groups and so on. By the OP guide line then there are at least 800k people in the US that are prone to violence.. the gang population at last estimate in the US. Add to that, white pride members, random criminals, and so on.. we are talking over 2.2 million .. probably closer to 3 million people who are "prone to violence" if not more. .. there were 7+ million on probation.. so we are talking about several % of the US population that are "prone to violence".

In other words.. another hatchet job to fan the flames of animosity towards Muslims...

People kill for many reasons. If someone killed in the name of Baconators, I'm still eating the bastards.

If people wanna kill in the name of Islam, they will be dealt with, harshly. My thing is, and always will be standing against the idea that a poisonous minority within Islam, makes guilty the law abiding, decent muslims that I deal with every day.

Yes I do feel they are a threat, if not to the existence of Western countries, but to the quality of life and character of them.
Evidence enough in the OP alone.
In that regard, I agree with what countries like, but not limited to, Denmark have done in restricting immigration and the terms on it.

MY TURN:

Am I to take it you are now conceding (contrary to your emptily hostile first reply) these Muslim immigrants do commit an inordinate amount of crime (much of it Thematic to their religion) and consume an inordinate amount of welfare spending too.
OR... do you still deny the obvious from Birmingham to Brussels?

Because if you are not conceding the point you first denied.. I'd be glad to fill several pages here documenting it.

The problems in communication are multifaceted, but at least two big stumbling blocks have to do with the way people here "all" when no such all was being communicated, and how those who do seem to hear the word "all" often don't know the slightest thing as to the true pervasiveness of the beliefs in question. If this were 1930 instead of 2010, it would be nigh on impossible to voice objection to the Nazis without people jumping down your throat for being bigoted against Germans (anybody is free to insert their sophomoric "goodwins law" here), nor would it be possible to point out how many Germans actually supported the Nazis.

I realize the desire to defend is strong in some, and people see it as a virtue, but when such a desire only results in denial, and statements that minimize both the extent and magnitude of the beliefs in question, and poo poo the potential threat such beliefs pose to western civilization, then such defense crosses the line that separates the desire to be fair and crosses into apologia. How tiny IS the number of Muslims who support sharia, how tiny IS the number of Muslims who want sharia to prevail, how tiny IS the number of Muslims who view their ideology as so inviolate that no other way of life should be considered?

That is the real issue here. Why shouldn't people be able to criticize totalitarianism?

2006-2010 is plenty good for the purpose at hand; discussing effects of immigrants on Sweden and their proclivity for violence.
They didn't all come in the last month nor would their be enough info to discuss the topic in just today's or last week's dailies.

On Topic contributions would be appreciated instead of utterly fallacious technical objections.

The dogma of multiculturalism has all but killed liberalism, so I don't think the word liberal really applies any more. Not when what is being abetted is so entirley illiberal in nature.

Because it is another hit and run attack on all Muslims by the usual suspects. All attack with no substance. Pointing out the wrongs of a small minority but avoiding or ignoring others doing much of the same thing, but the difference being that the "others" dont feature in their hatred towards said minority.

If you tell it to the radical Christian movements in the US that are spreading hatred and animosity across the planet. Muslims are not the only ones supporting killings and attacks.. sure they are shown more on TV, but Christians do many as well and they rarely make the headlines. Witch burnings in Nigeria to gay murders in Uganda to child abuse by the Catholic Church over to paedophile Christian cults that are allowed to exist around the world unchallenged. Not to mention the verbal attacks by US right wing politicians and personalities against minorities, especially the homosexual. Just today there was a Republican that called all homosexuals for sexual predators.. When will he be kicked out of the party?

Point is, you and your cohorts are selective because it happens to fit into your highly biased political agenda of painting 1.5 billion people as terrorists. While I dont disagree that there is a small portion of those people that do use violence as a political tool against others, they are not the only ones doing so and never have been.

Thanks to you and your cohorts attitudes and words, the Muslim extremists can easily paint a picture that the west is at war with Islam and gain even more support and with each comment from the right, especially in the US, the extremists gets new recruits. But then again, that is what the right wants.. conflict with someone or several.. only way they can justify massive military and security spending. Muslim extremists are a god send for the political right.. they were out in the dark after the cold war after all.. with no real enemy to hate.

And for the record.. I think Muslim extremism is a threat like all extremism. I just dont single out a whole section of the human population as the single problem area.

That is a load of chest beating and nonsense. Good ideas can come from any source and this is a prime example of the separatism and ethnocentric that is at the core of this conflict. No group of people is intrinsically better than any other group. Not us. Not them. No one. Except maybe Bruce Campbell. But that's a digression. Muslims are no more violent than any other marginalized and demonized minority. And certainly no more violent than an oppressive and militaristic majority. As a non-violent minority, let me tell you, you're both equally murderous.

But seriously, 200 people out of 9 million? That's a tiny fraction. You think there's fewer than 200 violent and dangerous people in New York City? That's 9 million people. Sweden has shown itself to be incredibly anti-Islam in the past, trying to stamp out a culture rather than incorporate and make peace with it. All this white supremacy crap is getting rather old. We are a multicultural world, and we will have either peace when we all grow up and get along, without trying to prove whose imaginary friends or skin color is the "right" one, or we will destroy ourselves and our planet in a big war which no one will win. I vote for option one.

Edit: Don't forget, a lot of the folks who push for this "Christianity vs Islam" thing actually want the big war to happen, because they think an invisible man in the sky will reward them for murdering all the peaceful people in the world.

You seem I am not like you, and so I determine my position based upon consistant values rather than lock-step political orthodoxy. I do not critricize or defend based upon who people are like you do, but by the ideas and actions brought forth.
