" Former national security adviser Susan Rice privately told House investigators that she unmasked the identities of senior Trump officials to understand why the crown prince of the United Arab Emirates was in New York late last year, multiple sources told CNN.

The Obama administration felt misled by the United Arab Emirates, which had failed to mention that Zayed was coming to the United States even though it’s customary for foreign dignitaries to notify the US government about their travels, according to several sources familiar with the matter. Rice, who served as then-President Obama’s national security adviser in his second term, told the House Intelligence Committee last week that she requested the names of the Americans mentioned in the classified report be revealed internally, a practice officials in both parties say is common."

What ?? So she needed to unmask the identities of Trump officials, who were being wiretapped too, to understand why the Crown Prince of the UAE, which has been a US ally for 40 plus years, was coming to New York ? Lol !

Susan Rice has never been a good liar, but that just makes no sense whatsoever plus it wasn't only Susan Rice unmasking Trump officials. US Ambassador the UN Samantha Powers was also unmasking the identities of Trumps campaign staff.

On the one hand while she is a known liar and completely untrustworthy FBI types should have no problem checking out her story.

On the other hand almost no one in her circle warrants trusting anymore than we can trust her.

We might as well be trying to figure out North Korea almost.....

Just have to understand that the political elite, both Republican and democrat HATE TRUMP. So nothing like this matters. Sessions has proven to be ineffective, McConnell & Ryan could care less, while Schumer and Pelosi rejoice.

So unless politicians can pull off a coup, none of this will matter. Fox will cover this stuff, other media outlets are having too much fun using Trump as a punching bag.

Not sure what this means for our democracy, as we seem to be in a never ending tit-for-tat. So the next democratic president can expect to have to go through this impeachment drill.

Maybe yes and maybe no, see the saving grace for the elite is that they have had almost no defectors, almost the entire class is out to remove Trump and teach America the lesson that this is not allowed.......but you know......at some point maybe the stench gets so bad that some folks decide that they cant look at themselves in the mirror anymore, that no matter how badly they get knee-capped for siding with the Rebellion they have to do it.

In other words the Members of the elite are watching this just like we are watching this.

Of course I am not sure they ALL don't care. Perhaps you think that MOST politicians don't care about getting re-elected,enriching themselves and their patrons and not having the media come down on them. Perhaps the Senate is not a club for 100 very entitled individuals.

I am sure that Comey will be brought to trial for perjury in front of congress, and for disseminating government documents. Perhaps it is a coincidence that Comey leaked his letter to get Mueller appointed special council, and not only did he get his special council within days, but somehow his friend was picked.
 

Comey is well loved and even though many will never admit it outside of trusted people in a room they know that Hillary lost because of Hillary and not because of Comey and not because the Russians...I will be shocked if Comey ever got more than a wet noodle wrist slap...he's "good people" and good people dont get punished the bad people do.

Thats how corrupt we are now.

Sure we care ! Why wouldnt you want to know whether or not a sitting President used our intelligence agencies to keep tabs on the political opposition ?

A couple of days ago you guys were giddy over reports that Paul Manafort had indeed been wiretapped by the Obama administration

It does seem like the mood has softened a bit though, maybe you guys realized he was Trumps camapign chairman at the time and if you add Fynn being wiretapped and all the unmaskings that were done by Susan Rice and Samantha Power and the fact that James Clapper denied any of Trumps campaign staff were wiretapped back in March that maybe the Right and Trump are on to something.

Since Susan Rice had no legitmate reason to unmask Trump campaign staff right before the election her explanation as for why she did it is important
 

I think Comey's charm is wearing thin and I doubt he's as liked and respected as he once was.

He's a ex-FBI director that by all indications committed obstruction of justice.

He had Hillary exonerated before the FBI interviewed her and the other witnesses and thats never going to wash off

He didnt go rogue and do all this on his own either. The decision to let her walk regardless of the evidence came from Obama, but he agreed to go through with it

I think the reports of FBI rank and file being near mutinous at the time are accurate and his press conference was his way of restoring moral

Susan Rice testified under oath that her unmaskings had nothing to do with Russia.

Again, she stated that Obama asked her to unmask the names of Trump campaign staff ( who were already under surveillance ) to get a better idea of why the Crown prince of the UAE was traveling to New York.

Lol ! Huh ? Talk about questionable, thats Susan Rice doing what she does best, lying.
