Supreme Court just let Trump politicize the CPSC. What could possibly go wrong if all the product safety regulators are beholden to Trump? What happens if a big donor doesn't like a recall or a regulation??

The Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed President Trump to fire the three Democratic members of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, a five-member group that monitors the safety of items like toys, cribs and electronics.

The Supreme Court has been chipping away at a 90-year-old precedent that allowed Congress to shield the leaders of independent agencies from politics by making it hard to fire them.

It's the Constitution that Lets Trump Fire Consumer Product Safety Regulators.

Being able to do something doesn't mean you should do something
Why do you think the sky is going to fall if some Biden appointees are replaced?

How does ignoring the precedents related to this ruling help the American people?

So for 90 years, the courts of this country were clearly confused about this statement. Thank you for clearing it up for them. What dummies!
Given that CPSC exercises significant executive power in addition to quasi-legislative and quasi-judicial functions, it's not clear that that precedent applies.

Perhaps you can show us where in the Constitution we recognize a 4th branch of government with legislative, executive and judicial functions that's headed by people who don't answer to elected officials?

Congress can’t create independent agencies free of politics anymore?

Wait, the US has a consumer protection agency?

(maga:) 'Why would we want safe products? What a stupid idea. Duh.'
