Struggling With Social Anxiety

One way to deal with this would be to think about what it was that allowed you to say something like this, in public, without so much as a hint of social anxiety:
the internet is different
Then, after contemplating the difference between this statement and your experiences at the cash register, you now can formulate a game plan. The first step might be to find someone who identifies as homosexual, and approach that person. Now, you have a choice: which @dman45 do you wish to be?

The one who can tell that person, confidently, that they are disgusting?

The one who stays silent and is a traitor to their own system of beliefs?

Or, the one who perhaps questions whether, should they let go of that hatred of others, might they learn how to connect with other people more easily?

It’s really up to you.
whille I'm personally disgusted by homosexuals. I don't think it should be illegal or that I should shove it on people. I don't go up to potheads and tell them to cut it out.

You had no hesitation telling homosexuals on the site that you think they are disgusting. So, why do you feel such anxiety at grocery store checkout line? This sounds less like a matter of anxiety and more a fear of being held to account in the real world for your disgusting and distasteful opinions of other people.

@Checkerboard Strangler was completely in the right with his comments on this thread, and you should take some time to reflect deeply on your own hatred of other human beings and how that might be contributing to your fear when in physical public spaces.
