Stossel on Mamdani

That was awful. Could have been an email. Choppy, grade school reading level rhetoric, just basic anarchist bullshit for the simple minded.

Stossel is not an anarchist, and I didn't seen anything in the video promoting anarchy.

A short 6 minute video with a lot of footage of Mamdani I've never seen before.

Lolbertarians ostensibly champion free speech and innovative liberal thought and then proceed to have an epileptic seizure when they see the word "Socialism", followed by a bunch of uncritical, low agency thinking.

Extra credit: The so-shul-ist in this case is Arab presenting and implied Palestinian kids shouldn't be blown into a million pieces, which basically makes him brown Hitler.

So you support Mamdani's ideas for nyc, correct?

No, I find his brand of socialism to be rather dysgenic and bourgeoise. I don't agree with the guy or think his politics are that productive, but I can appreciate that he's at least trying to update the framing of the discourse, which is more than I can say for 99% of other political discussion.

You will pry neoliberalism from the DNC’s cold, dead hands.

Response straight from the Saul Alinsky school of Debate. Don't address the issues, just throw enough poop to cover them up.

Government-run grocery stores are bourgeois?

In the future, you might want to try learning what words mean first before using them.

Yes, he's "updating the framing of the discourse" by promoting ideas which have failed everywhere they've been tried over the last 100 years.

What issues aren't being addressed? It's just more hyperventilating over "socialism". Meanwhile, someone needs to make a great defense of crony capitalism cause it sure as hell isn't serving Americans.

His belief in the infallibility of the Market is religious in nature and it has caused him to stop thinking.

The market doesn't have to be infallible, it just has to be better than the alternative.

Oh my god are they. Can you imagine living in a country so wealthy that the government can run grocery stores? It's kind of fantastic and a great idea.

Listen guy: I just watched you debate other posters for 10 pages on a separate thread about how Nazism is ackshually left wing. You don't get to tell me what words mean as I'm not entirely sure you're even capable of reading.

And yes. I stand by calling Mamdani bourgeoise.

Ironic coming from a libertarian.

You choose Not to meet the issues of lack of functionality in the socialist system. There were plenty of issues. You just choose to ignore them.

Neoliberalism supports deregulation, privatization of public services, and reducing welfare.

Name some democrats who support any of that. I can't think of a single one.

He’s doing schtick. It’s not even serious criticism. It’s just random blurbs and burps and out of context second or two vids while Stossel proselytizes.

Wow.

Where have you been since the early 90s?

What? If you've driven on any of our streets, called 911, or crossed a bridge - welcome to the functionality of a socialist system.

My streets are pot holed as Hell. The last time I called 911, I was on hold for more than 15 minutes. Many bridges in my state are dangerously out of repair, yet we still seem to have plenty of money for the Governor's welfare and Green initiatives.

Maybe don't be poor and live in an area that has money and adequate social services.

Time to bring yourself up by your bootstraps, son.
