Stephen Miller Legal Group Goes After the LA Dodgers Over Team’s DEI Efforts

"A legal group co-founded by top White House aide Stephen Miller has filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, seeking an investigation of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ diversity, equity and inclusion policies. The America First Legal complaint, filed on Monday, claims that the Dodgers’ DEI policies “appear to discriminate against employees, or prospective employees, solely because of their skin color or sex.” They cite a reference on the team’s DEI page that outlines recruitment efforts, including “sponsoring programs geared toward women and people of color.”

The complaint follows an incident on June 19 in which masked agents appeared near one of the Dodgers’s gates to its parking lot. Protesters gathered in the area, and the Los Angeles Police Department arrived at the scene, and the agents left. The Dodgers posted that that morning, “ICE agents came to Dodger Stadium and requested permission to access the parking lots. They were denied entry to the grounds by the organization.” America First Legal cited the incident in a press release announcing the EEOC complaint. It also pointed to a $1 million contribution the Dodgers made to provide financial assistance to immigrant families of those impacted by the ICE raids."

If they'd been around in 1947, they would have sued the Dodgers for signing Jackie Robinson. He was hired through a program that specifically sought to find and cultivate a black player.

Why didn't Miller's group file their lawsuit against the Washington Nationals, Commanders, or Wizards?

Why the Dodgers? Because the Dodgers are in California is why. Trump is weaponizing everything against California and Newsome.

A Trump strategy is to attack the biggest first - law firms, univeristies, the Dodgers, and then keep the pressure up until the remainder surrender to him rather than expend millions in court fights.

The absurdity of such racism is remarkable. I'm sure every slave captured in Africa and brought to the USA over the centuries would have preferred to stay in Africa.

And now that slavery has been abolished and black descendants of slaves (often of mixed race as many slave women were impregnated by their white owners) have full American citizenship, and have never been to Africa in their lives, the racist remarks of those who shout such stupid things at them are flatly absurd.

Even worse - a racial purge. Extended to the horizon, Trump's idiot acolytes have dreams of the NBA being all white again in just a few generations, certainly before the turn of the next century. Their racism is a sickness of the heart and the mind, and alas, nobody is working on a vaccine for that debilitating pathology. It took electing a president with cripplingly stunted emotional and intellectual development to become ground zero for the current racism pandemic. It may take some generations to contain it again.
