As Trump sucks all of the oxygen out of the room with headlines all over the world, this is what he has given his okay to Netanyahu to do:

“A baby girl identified as Janan Saleh al-Sakafi has died of malnutrition and dehydration in the Rantisi Hospital, west of Gaza City, more than two months after the start of Israel’s blockade on the Gaza Strip, according to Al Jazeera’s team on the ground.
  • Gaza’s Government Media Office says at least 57 Palestinians have starved to death in the enclave due to the blockade, urging the international community to take action to secure the reopening of the borders.”

Desperate children and adults in Gaza struggle to get food as Israel blocks aid

KHAN YOUNIS, Gaza Strip (AP) — Screaming in anguish as the desperate crowd crushes them against a barrier, young children and adults frantically wave pots and pans at charity workers, begging for a portion of some of the last food aid left in Gaza: Rice.

The chaos at the community kitchen in Khan Younis in southern Gaza on Friday was too overwhelming for Niveen Abu Arar. She tried and tried, but the 33-year-old mother of eight didn’t get to the front of the crowd in time. She left with her pot empty, and her eyes full of tears.

“Until when will life be like that? We’re slowly dying. We haven’t eaten bread for a month and a half. There is no flour. There is nothing,” said Abu Arar, whose ninth child, a 1-year-old boy, was killed in an Israeli strike near their home at the start of the war in 2023. “We don’t know what to do … We don’t have money. What do we get for them?”

She cradled a toddler in her lap as she spoke. With no milk to provide, she poured water into a baby bottle and pressed it into her youngest daughter’s mouth, hoping to stave off the baby’s hunger pangs.

And meanwhile, where is the outrage of the fundamentalist Christians who form the foundation of the Trump support? Crickets at best, quiet and out-loud support of the mass starvation of Palestinians more likely. What has happened to this once great nation of ours when tens of millions will look the other way while peoples of a certain nationality are starving to death. And meanwhile, if there are actually demonstrations against such cruelty, Trump and Stephen Miller will find ways to demonize those who participate. Never have I been so ashamed of this once great nation as under Trump and his hateful cult.

Blame it on who created the problem to begin with Hamas and the Palestinians that support them.

The Israeli Government is composed of adults who are compos mentis. This means they are responsible and accountable for their actions.

"The Palestinians who support" Hamas....Keep in mind this inconvenient fact: There has not been an election in Gaza since 2006. Another inconvenient fact: approx. half of today's Palestinian population in Gaza is under 18. These two facts indicate that of today's Palestinian adults, it's near-impossible to believe, much the less to establish, that a majority of them voted to put Hamas in power.

When you don't incorporate facts, your conclusions are likely to be suspect.

No. The decision to starve an entire population, belongs with the people committed enforcing a blockade of food and those who excuse, justify and enable the blockade. I am not one of them. Sounds like you might be.

MAGAs endorse and praise their godless leader for letting food rot, cutbacks on food assistance and energy assistance for the poor. Why should they care about Gazans. Cruelty is the thing they like about him and Bibi.

And Putin. The present “leaders” of the world do indeed specialize in cruelty: Putin slaughtering Ukranians; Netanyahu slaughtering Palestinians; and Trump turns a blind eye on both while performing his own special cruelties against “the least of these” in this nation. And where is the outrage of the fundamentalist Christians? They actually support the Netanyahu slaughter of Palestinians and the manner in which Trump is favoring his wealthy elite buddies at the expense of the underprivileged.

Add PEPFAR and USAID.

This should not be acceptable. I am ashamed of the world for not standing up stronger against these inhumane actions. One thing for sure though, Israel is assuring there is a next generation of terrorists.

The only people who care about Palestinian lives even less than members of the Israeli and U.S. governments is members of Hamas.

Could you tell me the color of the sky, so you get something right (maybe)? Hamas is risking their lives greatly to defend the Palestinian people, including their leaders who were murdered. At least you got part right sort of, but it's a massive understatement to say the people committing genocide against Palestinians 'don't care about them'. It's like saying Nazis didn't care about Jewish lives.
