Anyone else playing this? When it first came out I bought it and tried it and got really frustrated with it in a few days. I decided to give it another try and WOW! They made some major improvements! So far Im having fun but I have no idea how to get credits or dilithium. Am I alone here?

I asked about this game a few months back. I haven't played it but was interested in it.

What are the changes and improvements they made?

It's a wow clone.

Pretend you are playing a free upgraded version of Starfleet Command IV, with some multiplayer options, and you will enjoy it. Think for one second you are playing a MMORPG and you'll absolutely hate it.

Hehe, someone in their forums has this image in their signature:

See his screen is showing the STO forums.

Why is it I get more enjoyment out of forums then actual games the forums are attached to? Cause games suck.

Phew. Damn man. Perfect World is totally milking these poor trekkies for everything they got. I haven't given them a dime, so can't post on their forums, but these poor trekkies are just being abused.

And Perfect World is buying their own C-points. I bet Perfect World has got some employee in China that stays logged on and buys C-points with an infinite amount of Dilithium he programmed for himself, so C-points stay expensive. I bet you a bajillion bucks that's what's happening. The Dilithium:C-point ratio is way way way higher than what typical gold-farmers would sell their time for.

Dude its NOTHING like WoW. Im guessing you havent even played it or you would know that.

Anyone ever feels like playing just PM me.

It plays exactly like WOW. You grind mobs, then deck out your character with glowing armor or bling out your ship with weird looking crap so everyone's like, "Oh man I want to be JUST LIKE YOU!" Cause you know flattery is the highest form of flattery or however that idiom goes.

You grind on meaningless PVP battlefields, you grind against meaningless mobs, everything you do has absolutely no effect on the world around you. At least Pre-CU SWG wasn't so meaningless.

I think I actually bought this awhile ago - then stopped playing - then came back to try it again after it went F2P...

And had less fun.

What the hell was that "FPS-style" aiming bit with the ground combat?

BS I say, just makes it half-assed all around.

And the trouble with the space/ground missions is that they are way to similar.

Fly here, blow ship up, rescue random person, fly away.

Run here, blow away enemies, rescue random item, run away.

/yawn

Anyway...I just couldn't get back into the game....of course I never really got into it in the first place, so...
