Stalin : "history of old "Russia" was the continual beatings...Everyone gave her a beating for her

Why do so many in the west still believe that Muscovy has never been beaten in a war ? and they are some kind of unbeatable , warlike race ? its a pure BS, Muscovy has lost almost all wars , with nearly equal opposite side ...why even today people believe that Putler´s Muscovy has a chance against NATO/West?

" ...the history of old "Russia" was the continual beatings she suffered because of her backwardness. She was beaten by the Mongol khans. She was beaten by the Turkish beys. She was beaten by the Swedish feudal lords. She was beaten by the Polish and Lithuanian lords. She was beaten by the Anglo-French capitalists. She was beaten by the Japanese barons. Everyone gave her a beating for her backwardness. Everyone gave her a beating for her backwardness. . . . They beat her because it was profitable and could be done with impunity....,”

It's really not a matter of the US and others in the West thinking that we can't beat Russia.

It's a matter of being too smart to go to war against Russia.

We simply don't want to.

Putin might be a pain in the neck, but there's virtually no reason (so far) for the US and NATO to get involved in any way.

We place the value of our own soldiers' lives over the lives of resistance groups in the Ukraine, Crimea or in Russia.

I don't mean to sound cold -- but we just don't care enough to stick our necks out for you. Sorry.

No. The reason there will be no war is because the US and NATO refuse to get drawn into it.

We don't go to war with nuclear powers. We just don't.

We are in a similar position to what we were in during the Cold War. While we had sanctions, we were playing for time, because we knew one day it would collapse. Same thing now.

I don't know what that means and I don't really care.

The US will not fight your war for you -- you're just going to have to overthrow Putin by yourself.

Yes. I know some Iranian immigrants here who really want the US to invade Iran and overthrow the mullahs there too. And there are Cubans who want us to invade Cuba and overthrow the regime there. Ditto for Venezuela. Tibetans want us to invade and get rid of the Chinese there occupying their country. The list goes on and on. There are a lot of bad players in the world. The US/NATO really can't be involved in all of these conflicts. At least not directly. The world is just a really messed up place. We can't fix it all. We can help some if we can. But man, we are having enough of our own problems right here at home.

I agree. We simply can't be the big bully of the world. I know there are many problems out there, and I feel for those people who are suffering. If there's a way we can negotiate with countries for better human rights, I'm all for it. But, I'm not gung-ho for us to get involved in wars, especially ones against other major powers that could result in heavy casualties.

Russia has been beaten plenty of rimes in war, I have never heard anyone dispute that, however russia has always maintained it's empire since it became one, even if it lost what it tried to get. Stalin would be a good example of why people are afraid, during ww2 the germans were far superior in tech arms and training yet lost to russia, If ww2 had not seen america enter the war russia would have likely taken it's place albeit with much higher casualties on all sides, leaving the ussr as the world superpower.

part of what is feared is not their tech, though their tech is damn good for what they design it for, but wat is feared is their determination, during ww2 the russians charged germans under overwhelming odds, and it was a thing to shoot any russian who looked backwards. in the end the overall superiority of germany being the tech supergiant of the day and the most powerful military on earth at the time failed to defeat the russians, so why would anyone with half a brain try to fight them unless the need arose?

I dpn't know, the middle east uses outdated soviet crap from the 1950's and they seem to have no issue killing american or other countries soldiers, so how would 1991 gear be rotten when america still uses plenty of gear going back to the 1970's? It seems you live in some alternate universe where you fail to understand military might, gear used and how that gear is used, and instead run with what you percieve in your head should be reality rather than what is reality.

fyi That nigeria ib snow thing has been debunked for a long time, russias current gdp and earnings per capita even during a recession is far greater than nigerias, they might need to take gdp stats that occurred after yeltsin which was pretty much 2 decades ago.

In 1917 they did keep their empire minus finland which broke free, it became the soviet union. In 1991 they maintained most of their empire lost some territories but most of it was the warsaw pact moreso than actual russian land.

Now since you can not really argue on any normal level I will throw this at you, your country is no powerhouse, infact your country it nothing more that natos human shield to waste russian supplies while finland will be more of the first true line of defense, nato is doing just the same as the soviet union did, create buffer zones to seperate east from the west, everything inbetween is nothing more than an army of human shields, with the exception of finland the eastern side of nato would be obliterated by russian advance giving the western side time to counter attack.

To put it simply, lithuania has no real strategic value for nato other than as a human wall, as anything close to russia would fall if ww3 actually happened, so why would you keep calling for war with russia knowing your country will be thrown under the bus?

Re: Stalin : "history of old "Russia" was the continual beatings...Everyone gave her a beating for h

Putler´s Nigeria with snow goes down down down :lamo
"Current State of Russia’s Carrier Force

At the moment, Russia’s only aircraft carrier is the troubled Admiral Kuznetsov. A ski jump carrier, the Kuznetsov displaces some 60,000 tons, can theoretically make thirty knots, and carry a combination of forty-or-so helicopters and jet fighters. Kuzentsov was commissioned in 1990; a sister remained an incomplete hulk for many years until it was purchased by China and eventually finished as Liaoning. In addition to helicopters, Kuznetsov operates MiG-29K and Su-33 fighter bombers. Like previous Russian carriers, Kuznetsov sports a heavier missile armament than most Western ships.

Unfortunately, hiccups with Kuznetsov have also made it difficult for Russia’s naval aviators to remain practiced and effective. The ship has suffered multiple breakdowns over its career, including significant issues with its engines and recovering aircraft. Many of these difficulties came as consequence of the dramatic decline of maintenance funding at the end of the Cold War, but some was the inevitable result of inexperience with the platform type. Admiral Kuznetsov has engaged in several prestige cruises, but its most notable service came in 2016 off of Syria. After a much publicized journey to the Mediterranean, Kuznetsov conducted combat operations for two months. The operations had more of a publicity impact than a real military effect, and Kuznetsov lost two aircraft (one MiG-29K and one Su-33) to accidents. The carrier is currently in refit.

To support Kuznetsov, Russia attempted to purchase a pair of French assault carriers, but the conquest and annexation of Crimea forced France to cancel the sale. These ships would have served as amphibious platforms with antisubmarine (ASW) capabilities, but also would have given the Russian navy experience with relatively large, technologically advanced vessels. Indeed, part of the deal would have allowed Russia to construct two Mistrals to French specifications in its own yards, which would have provided a major boon to Russian shipbuilding."

Finland is the only eastern country with the real training and weaponry to actually delay a russian advance, the rest of the eastern european countries would fall fairly quick to russia and act as buffer zones to delay advancement.

Look at history, eastern europe has been a buffer zone for the great powers in eastern europe, western europe, and the middle east. Prior to nato enjoying them as buffer zones the soviet union used them for the exact same thing, to keep a buffer between moscow and nato. This is why eastern europe has been the craphole of the world for many centuries, it is hard to advance when you are caught in every cross regional military conflict and spend more time rebuilding than advancing, when every time europe and the middle east or europe and russia go to war, they get their land robbed their food stolen and their infrastucture damaged to support war causes for someone who has never lived in eastern europe.

In terms of strategic value, eastern europe would fall quickly, as far as nato, without the united states who pretty much carries nato, nato would fall quickly to the russians, and countries like yours would fall in all out war no matter which side they took, they are the inbetween states, the buffer zones, the land mass full of human shields so other empires can protect their own capitals.

Finland is not a scandinavian country culture wise nor geographically except maybe a tiny amount of northern finland. The finnish culture comes from finnic peoples with a lanuage derived from the urals, while scandinavian countries originate their culture from scania and geographically technichally only sweden and denmark are scandinavian countries.

Finnish culture is more related mto eastern europe and specifically russia, their language is closer to russian, and very close to hungarian. At best you could call it a nordic country being in northeastern europe, but it would still fall under eastern europe especially since it borders russia as well as other eastern european countries. you could have literally spent 5 seconds googling it or whatever your region uses instead of google.

You did not even read your own link, it lists finnic as uralic which derives from east and west of the urals which is in russia south. Finnish language originates within russia so you must be unable to pull up on a map where the urals are, or which countries the urals run through.
