"Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on Tuesday drew attention to Congress’s power over the federal judiciary as Republicans plot how to legislatively channel their outrage over district judges who have blocked Trump administration actions.
“We do have authority over the federal courts,” Johnson said in a press conference Tuesday. “We can eliminate an entire district court. We do have power over funding over the courts and all these other things. But desperate times call for desperate measures, and Congress is going to act.”
Johnson clarified that he was not calling to eliminate courts, but rather meant to illustrate Congress’s broad scope of authority, Punchbowl News reported."

WTF? Johnson clearly is a spineless enabler of Trump that will not be well regarded in the American history books, though he may become a hero of the 4th Reich. It seems pretty clear that Johnson lied when he took the oath of office as threatening to shut down the courts because they slapped the POTUS is NOT upholding the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, but actually siding with the enemy against the Constitution."Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on Tuesday drew attention to Congress’s power over the federal judiciary as Republicans plot how to legislatively channel their outrage over district judges who have blocked Trump administration actions.

Obviously, courts making decisions restraining a president who has shown contempt for the law is the very definition of “desperate times.”"Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on Tuesday drew attention to Congress’s power over the federal judiciary as Republicans plot how to legislatively channel their outrage over district judges who have blocked Trump administration actions.

After the outgoing one term President John Adams stacked the lower courts with partisan hacks President Thomas Jefferson with Congressional approval dissolved the lower courts. Congress declined to appropriate funding for the SCOTUS shuttering it for its first term. These actions didn’t doom the Republic. They sent a message that the judiciary wasn't a superior branch to the other two.
The wild demagoguery proclaiming the destruction of the Republic if Speaker Johnson's remarks come to pass just illustrates the absurd ignorance of contemporary Democrats.
Mike Johnson is so macho looking he should have been cast as Batman....... (or Cat Woman.)Nobody flexes like Mike Johnson.
*Shuddering* *LOL*
Nonsense. Thanks to the Biden Administration tens of millions of unvetted migrants have made an incursion into the USA.
