Why do you assume that the consensus would be disproven?The devastating effects of climate change is being felt all across the world. So the funding for climate research would of course have to be dramatic increased if the present consensus was disproven. To find the contrary cause of global warming and possible action.
Thee you have also powerful economical and political interests willing to found contrary research.

and Human activity is involved, but why do you think this is a problem we can or should do something about?
Look at the data? We are warming because of increased Absorbed Solar Radiation (ASR) More of the available
sunlight is reaching the surface, and less of that sunlight is being reflected.
Consider what events could possibly cause that combination ?
The more available sunlight reaching the surface is because we cleared actual air pollution, and the skies are clearer.
A lot more green plants, mean that a lot of that sunlight is being converted to plant sugars, and not reflected.
