SpaceX Starship Rocket Explodes Before Test

Rockets are basically controlled explosions if everything goes to plan.

The explosion was really something.

"The Starship experienced a “major anomaly” before starting its 10th flight test. Elon Musk’s giant moon and Mars rocket has a mixed record of success."

I was watching the stream live when it suddenly exploded. Yeah, was pretty spontaneous and unexpected
They were wiggling the nose canard-fins, and suddenly it happened. This was at their Massey's site, which is an additional site they'd built nearby Starbase.

The whole purpose of their approach is to shake out and detect further problems as they go along.
So they've discovered another one.

Spectacular explosion, hope everyone is okay and they find out what went wrong. All apart of testing these things, NASA has been going through it all along the way.

Yeah, that problem is it blows up.

I would hope they do enough testing before strapping people to a controlled explosive and launching into orbit.
A rocket designed to lift a payload isn't new technology. Despite this Space X has had several failures.

It's so far been a dismal failure.

Why am I reminded of the Titan submersible.

Space X is peppered with problems. They have to determine if said problems are of an engineering nature, or mechanical.

It seems the actual engineers that do all the work aren't very good.

The only effective employee seems to be the guy that gets them funding to keep trying after all the failures.

Donald claims Elmo is contributing to the national debt.

Maybe America should consider whether it can afford such an expensive adventure.

For sure. It shows how effective he is - he keeps getting funding.

While the actual engineers doing all the work just build giant, very expensive bombs that explode for no reason.

Were there any casualties, the explosion looked massive?
