The announcement was made by Mel Brooks, with Bill Pullman and Rick Moranis expected to return in their iconic roles.

I would say so. Whether he will be in a role?

I expect to be disappointed. Not usually happy with long late sequels or reboots. I'm thinking Ghostbusters reboot, Super Troopers 2, Dumb and Dumberer, Boondock Saints 2, etc. Mad Max and Fargo are the exceptions off the top of my head.
