All of his deals will be like this, and since the other nations cannot actually control where their private enterprises choose to invest or not invest, South Korea's portion of the deal is a fiction right from the get-go and Donald is too stupid to realize it. I expect everybody will rinse and repeat this same model.

Heck, it worked fine for China during his first term.

I expect Trump fans to be here soon to explain why this is the best deal in the history of deals.

If Trump does get a 3rd term I fully expect him to renege on this deal and claim it's terrible.

Tell Trump they will spend alot of money here.

Tell Trump they will buy more energy.

0% tariffs on US goods (like it already is).

Americans to pay 15% for products from South Korea.

Once again, the only people ****ed here are Americans.

And this is the right headline, because that is what this is: Trump's consumption tax for foreign goods.

Once again, you incorrectly assume American consumers will purchase Korean goods after they are subjected to a 15% tariff.

Some will, but most won't.

That means that the 15% tariff on Korean exports will result in a reduction of the amount of goods Americans will buy. Korean manufactures will have a choice to make: Accept reduced sales...or manufacture in the US.

How long to stand a factory up?

Why would any foreign business want to invest in a country when they may not even be get visas for their travelers if Donald doesn't like the color of their skin? It's easier to tell Donald and Mycroft what they want to hear; they are placated, then these businesses will begin working to tap other non-United States markets for their goods, knowing that (a) it would be silly for them to invest in the US (b) Mycroft doesn't have the $ to stand up a domestic business to replace them and (c) therefore American consumers will simply pay the 15% Trump Tax because they have no other choice.

Just like FoxConn!

Before we're done, Trump will owe the world $50t worth of energy. What a joke. We're up to $850b already with two deals.
There's no timeframe specified, so South Korea can assume they'll make these investment over the next 2,000 years.

South Korea knows what Donald is: a baby. So, a promise for private corporations to invest that their government cannot even control is merely a pacifier.

If you want a new phone, it's coming from India, South Korea, or China most likely.

So don't buy phones for awhile.

Don't buy TVs. Ditto.

Don't buy cars, all of them are affected by tariffs.

Appliances you have more options, but Trump is making steel, copper, and aluminum more expensive too.

What product is Trump not making more expensive?

As I said, foreign manufacturers will have a choice to make. That is simply the reality.

btw, with wage growth at double the inflation rate, it really doesn't matter if some items become more expensive.

Either pay the tariffs or wish factory into existence with fairy dust?

Intel says it may close the ohio plant because they cant find buyers here. May have to look overseas..
We buy a shit load of Micros from Korea.

This is ****ing stupid, and naturally you defend it. What should happen is people like you who defend tbis have to pay the tariffs while I dont

They actually don't know shit.

Good insight on your part.

Trump is so easy to play.

Plus, he's temporary.

It is still low. 2.9% is a LOT less than 9%.
This time last year the inflation rate was 2.9%. People said that was too high.

Sure, and at that time wage growth was non-existent. Now, wage growth is almost double that inflation rate.
