Update (0840ET): Having noted the apparent disconnect between increasing restrictions and The White House denying it, Anthony "I am The Science" Fauci has once again flip-flopped on his call that "the pandemic phase in this country is over" - his exact words.

We can only assume 'the science' changed overnight? (the 'political science' that is).

It really is time for Dr. F. to retire -- with loads of honors showered on him.

Probably the Biden Administration would like to appoint a more politically correct person to that high-profile position, but it does not want to appear to be caving in to the demands of Dr. F.'s critics.

After the results of Congressional elections are in, and if there is a red tide, then maybe the Administration will decide that it has to give Dr. F. a gentle push out the door.

I knew what it meant. I have a Masters of Science and PhD candidacy. I'm not a Trumper.

A person needs to be a blithering idiot to think it meant we're in the clear. Trumpers thought that because they're blithering idiots. And now those inbred cousin-****ing pieces of shit are all, "you told us it was over!" They are that stupid.

Bonus funny: The pieces of shit got their misinformation from nutbag sources in the first place. They're stupid and they never had any hope of performing otherwise.

My MSc is International Environmental Science. In case you're still wondering, that has something to so with pandemics. We did models. My PhD(c) is Interdisciplinary Ecology (agricultural development).

Imagine being able to print, "It's over!" and then the very next day "It's not over! Fauci lied!" just because your audience is that uneducated and stupid. As a publisher, you can get away with that and they come back for more.

Let's be honest here, the right wing fringies didn't get their news from CNN. They didn't get their interpretation of the announcement from MSNBC. They got it from fringie sources that misrepresented the announcement with the intention of follow-up bs.

You act like a left-wing source misled you about the meaning of the announcement. But that's not where you got your info. If anyone misled you, it's the fringie sources that made it seem - lied - like it was "it's over".

And some fringe nutbags take it to 11. They go beyond "Fauci lied". They will claim Fauci told the truth and it means "it's over", that Covid is gone, and the conspiracy leaders decided to retract that truth.

A little bit of truth leaked out. There is no Covid. But then it got retracted because the conspiracy powers stopped the leak.

The people claiming they were mislead to believe it was more significant did not get their news from CNN. They were mislead to believe it was something more significant by the same source now telling them Fauci lied.

But they don't see it.
