Australian State Media the ABC has caused the Solomon Islands to ban racist anti-China foreign journalists from entering their nation due to their racial profiling. I sure as hell do not watch our State Media the ABC - which is basically Australias version of CNN - but apparently their flagship show Four Corners have been doing stories attacking the Solomon Islands ties with China and these reports engage in racial stereotyping and misinformation -

On Wednesday the office issued an extraordinary and lengthy statement once again targeting the national broadcaster and Four Corners, accusing the program of engaging in racial stereotyping and the "intentional use of misinformation and distribution of pre-conceived prejudicial information".

HA. Since the ABC is State Media and a government mouthpiece - and Australia is part of the Five Eyes alliance which is decidedly anti-China - it is only natural that they attack the Solomon Islands for their relationship with China. Apparently the Solomon Islands have picked up on the US influence and decided to call out USA as well -

"ABC or other foreign media must understand that the manner in which journalists are allowed conduct themselves in other [countries] does not give them the right to operate in the same manner in the Pacific," it reads.

"The Pacific is not the same as Australia or United States. When you chose to come to our Pacific Islands, be respectful, be courteous and accord the appropriate protocols."

HA! They really didnt need to include the United States in their statement - and they do this at the risk of being called conspiracy theorists.. And to many perhaps they are - I mean USA guilty of foreign influence? In Australia? Its pretty crazy if you think about it.. Still. We are allies after all and both part of Five Eyes which seems to have decided that attacking China is their number one priority. So perhaps it does make sense for the Solomon Islands to call out USA as well. You know what? Maybe China made them put out this statement. Yes that is probably it.

Anyway - Chinas trade policy is based on "Win-win trade with no strings attached" which means that they seek mutually beneficial trade relationships with other nations but do not use these trade relationships to interfere in the internal politics of its trade partners ( Like USA does. That is what they are saying... ). The west and our Leader State USA have accused China of "buying influence" through their international trade relationships and stated that the international order that they sit atop of must be maintained.... Because they want to stay on top I guess. HA! Who even write this %$%$? Seriously? Come up with this stuff in a back room at CIA headquarters? Jesus Christ. Umm - Democracy? DeRRRrrrRRRRRrrrRRR!

Anyway - why wouldnt mutually beneficial trade relationships lead to stronger friendship between China and its trade partners? The west and our Leader State and Reserve Currency holder USA have been exploiting the hell out of the third world since WW2 and they do not seem to like us very much. Dont like our IMF loans. Dont like how we decide that their currency is basically worthless. They dont like us much at all and who could blame them? China knows what it is like to be treated like a third world nation by the west.. Is it any wonder that so many nations including here in the Pacific are so eager to take advantage of trade and friendship with China? Until recently Australia was talking up The Asian Century and taking advantage of trade and friendship with China ourselves. Until Pompeo said that USA would "disconnect" from Australia if we keep it up.. Of course Australia is terrified of USA so we did what we were told and started a trade war with China and the trade we lost was all picked up by USA.. Seriously - look it up. I mean Jesus Christ.

But yeah - what exactly is wrong with China "buying influence" in the Pacific or anywhere else? And do our bankrupt neoliberal duopoly governments have enough money to outspend China as far as buying influence? I mean USA cant run out of money apparently due to the Reserve Status they took for themselves after WW2 so maybe they can ( what is US national debt again? ) - but how can the rest of us compete with China?

Hey maybe you Yanks could print up a few of those trillion dollar bills you were going to use to pay off your national debt and send one to the Solomon Islands... That would buy some influence... Australia really cant afford to outspend China in the Pacific..

edit - And Penny Wong is %$%$ing worthless.

HA. Yeah what are they doing there?

edit - And ocean of stars.

Fight me.

You guys ever play Tropico and you get on the wrong side of USA so they send battleships to circle your island and intimidate you? Thats what you Yank and Pommy coast guard are doing at the Solomon Islands. Spreading democracy..

From State Media government mouthpiece the ABC -

Solomon Islands moving ahead with contentious plan to build Huawei mobile phone towers with $100 million loan from Beijing

And we dont want Huawei selling the most phones like they did in 2020 again hey? Its a matter of national security for USA. National security trumps the free market.

Look I wrote this for China Daily Forum in 2014. The CPC highlighted it on their main page for about a week. I knew what I was doing....

Today I bought a new phone from my local Telstra Shop. Telstra is Australias biggest and most trusted telecommunications provider and I am a loyal Telstra customer. I dont know anything about phones but I just wanted to get something understated. ( not an iphone ) I was happy to see a Chinese phone stocked in the Telstra Shop. I have heard good things about the Chinese brand Huawei so I decided to buy the well priced Huawei Ascend Y530.

I think it is great that Chinese brand Huawei and Telstra have a partnership.

I have not purchased a phone for years so I was kind of surpised how serious an event it has become. I had to show the Telstra guy my license to be able to buy a phone. I had no idea we needed photo id here in Australia to buy a phone. I guess it is a good idea to protect children. Anyway, while the Telstra guy and I were activating my phone, I noticed that my local Telstra shop uses Lenovo computers and I thought that was cool. It seems that Telstra has great confidence in leading Chinese brands and that is a great endorsement.

So, like I said, I am no phone expert. I just knew the phone was Chinese and I like that Chinese brands are becoming more popular and I want to support them. It looked fine and the price seemed reasonable. ( I like Chinese price points and Chinese value for money ) I wasnt sure if it was a 'smartphone' or not but it seemed smart enough for me. I just had a quick read of a review and it said the Hauwei Ascend Y530 is a 'budget smartphone' with some nice style points. I think it will suit me fine.

I see Huawei as being a major phone brand of the future that will compete strongly with Apple and Sumsung. I think that we need more competition in the phone market and I am a happy supporter of Huawei. Represent! :)

Now if I was on the books with the CIA I could have warned you six years in advance.

What is the problem? Print me up some USD!

edit - I am really holding back you guys. I do not want to have to destroy you. Lets be friends. Its best if I am on your side. You dont need to print me up a trillion...

Come on.

edit - I want to help protect your Reserve Status. Its best if I have some USD in my pocket while I am doing it right?

commentator has called for Australia to invade the Solomon Islands and 'engineer' regime change after Beijing's plans to establish a Chinese military base in the South Pacific nation were leaked.

In the publication Macrobusiness, David Llewellyn-Smith argues that Scott Morrison should 'force a direct confrontation' with the communist superpower over the Solomons using 'any and all means necessary' to drive Beijing out of the region.

Australian aggression and threats to foreign countries should not go unpunished by the liberal world order

USA should be concerned about this kind of rhetoric as well. We do not want miscalculations leading to unplanned conflict.
