Soldier burned in effigy stirs outrage
By David Krough and kgw.com Staff
Some photos that surfaced on the Internet revealed a darker side of the recent Iraq war protests in Portland.

Doesn't surprise me that FOX would show such a thing. Then they can spin it so that anyone anti-war, gets lumped in with these yahoo's.
It also wouldn't surprise me (with my conspiracy laden brain) if this was staged to give anti-war protestors a bad name. For those 'sitting on the fence' about the war, this demonstration could push them over, and for those who already hate the protestors it just gives them another (illogical, and emotionally heated) reason to make broad sweeping statements about ALL anti-war protestors...
Propaganda, hook, line, and sinker... IMO
These people do not speak for me, in case you wondered.
Peace
Yes how dare fox broadcast the truth about the anti-war protests in Portland, funny that your hatred and anger diverted very quickly there onto Fox and the U.S. government rather than these *******s burning American flags and U.S. troops in effigy it's very telling. And BTW do you have any evidence what so ever that these were plants or are you just talking out of your as$? And the whole "not your average protestors," schtick, I take it you've never seen the ****ing black blockers have you?
I think it's plain to see via your language on the threads that you may have an anger problem. I merely stated my opinion - no hate or anger.
No I have no proof that it is a plant, that is why I said "it wouldn't surprise me" - as in IMO.
Never heard of the ****ing black blockers. Is that their real name?
Peace

I also saw pictures on Fox last night of banners reading "fuc/k the troops," but let us not dare question their patriotism.
Says more about your intolerance...How very perceptive of you, I do have a thing about conspiracists.
Sure, but the ****ing Black Bloc (their actually just called the Black Bloc) link you gave me shows that they infiltrate demonstrations and bring a violent side to an otherwise peaceful demonstration.Just like I said you're talking out of your as$.
Black bloc - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaThere is a mistaken belief, especially among the mainstream news media, that the "Black Bloc" is an international organization of some kind, when in fact it is nothing more than a tactic used by a subset of demonstrators. There may be several black blocs within a particular protest, with different aims and tactics. As an ad hoc group, they share no universally common set of principles or beliefs;

Hey! Don't get mad for the Cons that did this. There has to be something wrong with them to do such a terrible thing. Lets pray for these Cons!
Our Bush who art in heaven~~~~~~~~~
You're entitled to your opinion. Your President thinks along the same lines.I have no tolerance for conspiracists, I put them just below socialists and just above the stormfront type folks allthough in my experience they are usually one in the same.
Guess I'm a liar for not believing the official 9/11 story, or his reasons for the Iraq war..."Let us never tolerate outrageous conspiracy theories concerning the attacks of September the 11th; malicious lies that attempt to shift the blame away from the terrorists, themselves, away from the guilty." – George Bush, Nov 11 2001 @ the UN
Many peaceful, non-violent demonstrators do not condone these tactics. If a handful of BB show up at a peaceful demonstration, there is tension (and sometimes violence) between the two groups...Didn't see where they infiltrate anything as a matter of fact they're generally the leaders of the pack in these little protests.
?Thinking Fox would should a the worst protest they can find and pass it off as a normal protest is conspiracy?
Absolutely. They all have a bottom line. When news is based on ratings, it's not news, it's entertainment...I got news you for you:
ALL TV NEWS IS SENSATIONALIZED.
You're entitled to your opinion. Your President thinks along the same lines.

What makes me a liar, nut, propagandist, for asking questions about inconsistencies in the official 9/11 story? You sound like O'reilly... I care more about my COUNTRY and FELLOW CITIZENS than my GOVERNMENT - they are not the same thing..."Liar," "Nut," "propagandist for the enemy," take your pick.
Not really.Care to ellaborate?
Not what I said. There are many ways this could happen. For example, you (TOT) could round up a bunch of your friends to go 'crash' a demonstration with said tactics. You could call/email/fax the news to say an ugly demonstration is happening... Job done...I guess you didn't read very clearly he thinks its a joint operation between the U.S. government and Fox news to plant these people in the protest.
Bush and Hitler could be conjoined... Which are Bush quotes, and which are Hitler quotes...?Unfortunately for him he has no evidence and a picture speaks a thousand words, and for the record allthough I haven't seen quite this level of depravity from the anti-war folks, for me Bush=Hitler signs and the like which these ****ing leftist pricks generally parade around with are just as bad.
"The *** people are not a warlike nation. It is a soldierly one, which means it does not want a war, but does not fear it. It loves peace but also loves its honor and freedom"
"Strength lies not in defense but in attack."
"Let us never forget the duty, which we have taken upon us"
“What we have to fight for...is the freedom and independence
of the ***, so that our people may be enabled to fulfill
the mission assigned to it by the Creator."

Anyone who burns effigy of our troops is no American and should be booted out of this country. If we were allowed to make our own thread titles in the breaking news section the title of this thread should be "anti-war protesters come out of the closet with their views about our military and country".
Does anyone realize that it would be unconstitutional to do so?
In times like this I am reminded of how some people get so upset about these protesters painting all of our troops with the same brush. You're upset about a few radicals. So am I but I am also opposed to this war. To even insinuate that this is how all anti-war protesters feel the protests should be carried out is the highest kind of hypocrisy from a right wing that doesn't want of all of our troops being painted with the same brush the people from the Abu Ghraib and Falluja Massacres are painted. These people are extremists. They're not opposed to the war. They've made it clear that they oppose America. They don't speak for liberals anymore then Pat Robertson and Anne Coulter speak for conservatives.
Considering the fact alot of these anti-war protesters scream retreat in the form of pull out dates and timelines it clear they are against America, because only a anti-American wants America to lose to terrorist.
It also apparent they are pro-genocidal mass murdering dictatorships.
I think I've made it clear that it is only the people in those pictures I'm talking about. Not all anti-war protesters.
They're extremists. It wouldn't matter who we took out. They'd always find some excuse to be pissed off but again. This only applies to the extremists in the pictures. Not the anti-war movement as a whole.
