So Who Do You Prefer....Sarah Huckabee/Sean Spicer?

Who do you prefer at the podium? I think Spicey has more cachet. SH can be knocked off message too easily, imo. Spicer is more entertaining. I know this briefing should not fall into 'entertainment', but it is what it is.

Both are useless as the job entails lying on a daily basis, concealing the truth on a daily basis, and insulting America and its people on a daily basis.

I really could not care less which one does it better as they both such big time.
 
It is impossible to succeed at that job given Trump's incessant lying and changing his mind with the wind.

Why anyone would want that job is beyond me.
 

Neither, both have submitted to repeating lies from trump.
 

Defending Trump is a job that will not be easy no matter who it is. He makes liars out of whom ever has to speak for him.

For that matter, why do so many people, that prior to 2016 one would think had integrity, sacrifice that integrity on a daily basis defending the lies and shameful behavior of a man like Trump?
 

The job requires flat out lying to the Public and the Press just about every day. Sarah's eyes twinkle, and she performs with a smile! Sean sputters and acts goofy like Trump.

I prefer Sean at the podium. His routine makes for better SNL fodder.
 
I think they should get married & go drive off a cliff like Thelma & Louise for their reception ............. the world would be a better place afterwards ...............
 
I think they should hold a contest for random citizens and each week have a new winner give the briefing 1 day a week.
 

Just find me a bridge. They both suck but, then again, Trump doesn't give them anything to work with. That's not Trump's fault but the fault of the position itself. The press secretary is just the rubber stamp of the president's policies. I have hated all of them for the last several presidents. All they do is repeat the official presidential policy which, for the most part, everyone already knows.

All press secretaries repeat the same old talking points of the president. That's their job.

Believe me when I say, "There's nobody in your list who are worthy or even humorous.

Spicer's life after Trump...he'll be lucky to get a Walmart greeter job.
 

Unless you are also deranged being the Press Secretary for a madman has to be one of he worst jobs on earth. I don't believe that Spicey is deranged. I suspect he hates his job and finds it difficult to live with himself at times. Huckabee seems to be a person who actually believes the **** that comes from the Oval Office. I'll take Spicey over Huckabee, who i believe to be a willing Kool Aid drinker.

I realize that all presidential press secretaries are well paid to cleverly employ a bit of spin, but Spicer and Sanders both flat out lie, dance around questions, say Trumps tweets speak for themselves, never admit when Trump has changed his position and thrown them under the bus, and angrily state that they have answered a question when they actually haven't answered the question.

Simultaneously comically entertaining and sadly pathetic, I usually never miss a televised presser of either S.
 
I would not buy a used car from either one.

It is a thankless job but somebody has to do it - perhaps both taking turns is the best idea.
 
I'd be better than most. Example: You there, in the front with the teeth that haven't been brushed in at least a week. You have a question? Go ahead, but please don't breathe or spit on anyone around you. We have standards here...You aren't married to your cousin or anything are you?

It would not be problematic for someone with integrity.

All it would take would be a refusal to make any "uninformed" statement on behalf of this particular President.

Simply state, as many times as necessary, that they will check with the President and get back to them on that issue when they have his answer.

Trump does not seem comfortable with people speaking for him. This because he believes (with some justification) that it was his "maverick" style of bombast and "plain speaking" that got him elected. He doesn't like when more moderate members of his cabinet try to water things down rather than simply accept and support what he has to say on any subject.

The real problem is that Trump is not as well-informed as he thinks he is, being in his 70's and less amenable to correction as are many people who've lived that long.

Still, a person who is willing to call a spade a spade Trump-style...AFTER making sure they know what he wants them to say, would be more successful in the position IMO.

Right, I get that. However, they don't typically get contradicted by the president on a near daily basis though as Trump's press secretary does. Moreover, while past press secretaries have had to defend bad policy decisions and questionable decisions from time to time, defending a president's lunatic rants and ridiculous lies is unique to the job of being Trump's press secretary.
