because europe didnt have thousands of protests and as a different culture
opening businesses to support people livelihoods is what DOENST bring up the number
what does is holding massive parties, not wearing masks, not social distancing, and cramming thousands into spaces for protests and riots

I spent 7 years in Germany and I will say Europeans are generally don't act as entitled as Americans do.
There's this theory about the kind of European who immigrated to America. It was all the crazy people. The boring, sane people stayed in Europe.
Dr. Fauci was given another chance to testify before the Democratic House of Representatives recently -- just a few months after Trump blocked him from addressing the chamber after insisting it’s full of “Trump haters.”
In his remarks, Dr. Fauci tried to explain that America’s surging caseload was because of the country’s failure to shut down completely -- contrasting the U.S. with European countries that had committed to a total lockdown and are now seeing reduced cases as a result.
But Trump issued a statement saying Dr. Fauci was “wrong!” -- and that increased caseloads were due to increased testing. Of course, every leading medical expert agrees that testing does not “create cases,” as Trump claims.
At this point, even members of Trump’s own administration are admitting testing efforts have fallen behind. Dr. Fauci is clearly trying to get us all to the point where so many of our European allies are: safely re-opened and enjoying a somewhat normal summer. But Trump is committed to smearing his top doctor every chance he gets
i agree
Might be because we have had the strongest nation in the world for a good while and we saved the Europeans rears in WWI and WWII, along with most of the planet.
US tops 5 million confirmed virus cases, to Europe’s alarm – Kashmir Reader
The failure of the most powerful nation in the world to contain the scourge has been met with astonishment and alarm in Europe.
Perhaps nowhere outside the US is America’s bungled virus response viewed with more consternation than in Italy, which was ground zero of Europe’s epidemic. Italians were unprepared when the outbreak exploded in February, and the country still has one of the world’s highest official death tolls at 35,000.
But after a strict nationwide, 10-week lockdown, vigilant tracing of new clusters and general acceptance of mask mandates and social distancing, Italy has become a model of virus containment.
Don’t they care about their health? a mask-clad Patrizia Antonini asked about people in the United States as she walked with friends along the banks of Lake Bracciano, north of Rome.
They need to take our precautions. … They need a real lockdown.
