What?
and what is this fixation with attacking education?
Answer the bloody question: would you consult a professor or a Colonel with combat experience?
those that can do, do
those that can't teach
there, feel better?
I am unconcerned with education
what does it have with our siding with Al-Qaeda in Syria?
did he learn that at Columbia ?
How is "Smart Power" working out for the United States?
That's what we were promised, right? Ineffectual bumbling around the Middle East was done because the smart people weren't in charge. The world wasn't a mess of incompatible national interests, difficult trade-offs, no-win situations, and irreconcilable differences, but merely a rubix cube, waiting for the Smartest President Ever to come in and Be Wonderful Enough To Solve It. Remember?
So. How's that working out?
79.17% of the folks think:
We are so screwed that we now lose no matter WHAT we do
a few pieces missing
those that can do, do
those that can't teach
there, feel better?
So. How's that working out?
Very few do. That's one of a few mistakes those who attack education make.
And a wise president would consult those who process knowledge, regardless of how they gained that knowledge.
Of course.Good evening, Gimmesometruth. :2wave:
And if it is proven that the rebels were the ones using chemical weapons, would you feel the same?
No, the use by any group violates the ban.Would you justify their use by stating that they are fighting the regime, so it's okay?
Get over it Boo, nobody is attacking education. We are attacking people that have nothing but education so don't lump yourself in with the losers, you obviously are very well rounded.

Again, most are. That's the point. And you are attacking education.
some posts need a multi-like buttonyou have bought into their elitist mindset that anyone who thinks ivory tower academics are not superior human beings must hate education.
See this is the thing about formal education taught by these liberal profs. As well rounded as you are you have bought into their elitist mindset that anyone who thinks ivory tower academics are not superior human beings must hate education. This is the downside of pursuing a higher education as taught in most of our universities, you get as much indoctrination as education or maybe even more.

I'll repeat this for you:
You know that's bs. Complete bs. Take me. I've drove truck, served in the military, worked retail, waited tables, cooked, partnered in an antique shop, and worked construction. What in that is not an honest days work?
And I'm not alone.
You also have no respect for young people who work jobs, have families, and try to balance both with getting an education. You also think they don't have their own minds. How arrogant of you.
Like I said, the stuff you spew is the problem. Not education.
In this situation, I see little wrong being an elitist to anti-intellectuals.
Define intellectual, so far we have been concentrating on the term "academic".
The term is under dispute. There are a couple of broad-based definitions that are fairly common.
1) A person who lives by the creation and dissemination of ideas
2) A person who is perhaps a professional in one area, but feels they can take their skill set and apply it to subject matters outside their specialty. There is often a moral certitude that imbues them.
