So do you wash your pillows?

I use an article of clothing (for instance a sweater I took off before going to bed) so when its time comes, of course it gets washed.

The Coop pillows Queen Margo mentioned are about $80 each, so kind of pricey. But really comfortable IMO.

I also sometimes prefer a down pillow and Parachute makes a nice down one, but those are a little over $100 each. They wash well too. I like the combo of having one of each choice handy (Coop and down).

But with either kind, you need to dry them on low heat for a really long time (about 3 cycles). They might feel dry on the outside, but it takes a lot longer for the inside to get thoroughly dry.

I also like nice sheets and the good ones seem to last a really long time, so I find they are worth the money.
I like bamboo sheets or silk sheets. Use them till they start to tear apart.

10 years, no wash, the dust mite population must be thriving! Does it move on its own?

I will say we have a couple of Cry Pillows that wife's mother bought for us quite a few years ago at Christmas. I wouldn't have bought them on my own, but they get pretty regular washing and hold up just fine.
And I'm one who will crunch/fold my pillow all sorts of ways and will wear a standard cheapy out in no time.
But they have held up well I will say. Still 'fluffy'.
