Sick sci-fi sex fantasy written by Epstein's first benefactor people say inspired his twisted island... before author's SON ended up arresting him

This article in Daily Mail concerns a 1973 sci-fi novel by Donald Barr. You can directly download the novel from that Archive.org link.
According to the Mail, Donald Barr was...
  • A former CIA officer
  • headmaster of the Dalton School, a "prestigious" New York prep school
  • was headmaster in 1974, but stepped down before Jeffrey Epstein was hired in 1974, and some suggest he had something to do with that (?)
  • father of William Barr, who was attorney general in 2019 when Epstein died in custody. *I think the Mail used "arrest" loosely - he wasn't there (?)
  • wrote this novel, which is claimed by the Mail to resemble Epstein's operation; they even say some people call it a "da Vinci code" for it (?)
I posted the novel link mostly in hopes that somebody would read it so I don't have to. Please feel free to post the highlights. :)

p.3 "... checked the anal and urethral probes with' a plastigloved finger
(“Son of a bitch,’’ mumbled Craig), ... "

Bill Barr who "arrested him" is himself a very Epstein connected figure, and is accused by Jeffrey Epstein's brother Mark for helping cover up his murder.

The most pertinent quote of the article:

The Internet is abuzz with many bizarre theories

Don't see much there. What I want to know is how did Epstein score a teaching gig at the Dalton School without a college degree?

A private school in the 70s probably hired as it pleased without being constrained by the need for qualifications?
