Some of my most memorable songs are partially memorable due to an unusual theme. I remember listening to this for the first time and thinking 'finally a great song that is NOT about love and sex, and that kind of attraction. It was refreshing that I was listening to a song about an artist and his struggle for appreciation.

Please contribute your favorite songs about an unusual theme. But notice both of my examples include the lyrics posted. It would be appreciated if your samples have the lyrics so that those of us who don't hear as well, or can't isolate the words from the music well, can enjoy the lyrics we are celebrating in this thread. It doesn't do any good to post something when the rest of us can only catch a third of the lyrics you are lauding.
