No he should not.

Beyond ridiculous.

The bishops in support are kidding themselves. At the end of the day, the Vatican would ultimately need to sign off on it and Pope Francis won't go down that line.

You mean should be be denied religious services for not imposing the tenets of his Catholic Faith upon others? I listed "unsure." I say that, because that is his Church's business. Should Jewish or Muslim politicians be barred from their synagogues and mosques for not imposing kosher or halal dietary restrictions upon their non-Jewish or non-Muslim constituents respectively, and making the sale and consumption of pork illegal? I do not think so, but that is those synagogues' and mosques' business.

Technically he is subject to latae sententiae excommunication and should be voluntarily sitting out the Eucharist so I voted yes. The problem with the Bishops making this a ferendae sententiae excommunication is, as Rep. Lieu pointed out, that they’re being hypocritical in their selective enforcement of these matters.

Have the American Bishops made a big show of denying communion to their Priests who abused children? I don't remember reading anything about it.

Do you remember when the Priest denied communion to Joe in the small Catholic church in SC? The Priest emailed the local newspaper about it

RCC- Roman Catholic Church

If this is anything, it is just more blustering from the Catholic Church.

Should be completely ignored, more garbage from a far less than stellar moral organization.

No. He has no control over abortion policy in this country. Abortion was settled by the US Supreme Court in Roe V Wade. God isn't going to judge him for not going against worldly law...he would judge him if he or his significant other were induced into an abortion themselves...and that is if it is actually a sin...I am not convinced that God considers abortion a sin....since it is not mentioned in the Bible at all except as a forced miscarriage which is defined as something where one receives a financial penalty paid to the family of the woman who was forced to have a miscarriage.

I don't care either way. My point is that this pope has been controversial. I think they made a mistake with him. He seems to be more progressive than Catholic.
so, they should have just kept the ones that covered up the pedophiles raping children....gotcha.
