why is that? are you saying that simply because the right opposes her she is a good choice? Isn't that the same logic that some on the right use to defend Palin? ie, the other side hates her so she must be good for our side?

The difference is that Pelosi,s work is a known. Whereas Palins is…well, a quitter after, what, six months? :2wave:

using that logic...everyone should have voted for McCain, whose work was known, over Obama who had a couple months under his belt.

Personally, I would be happy for Nancy Pelosi if she chose to retire; she's a wealthy woman, she doesn't need the constant demands on her time that comes with national political leadership. I think she's concluded that the Democratic caucus can still benefit significantly from her leadership and I think she's right. She's been a great leader, the most effective Speaker in decades, her achievements are important milestones that will influence American life for the better for many decades to come. Conservatives demonize her but they wouldn't bother if she hadn't been so extraordinarily successful in promoting the progressive agenda. God bless, Nancy Pelosi!

That is why we had the election,58,343,671 people looked at the maverick’s work and said that looks good to me. 66,882,230 decided, no thanks.

Nancy Pelosi is a hypocrite. She has pulled the Democrat party farther left and silenced the moderates within her party. She herself is very left wing and many Americans oppose her. If she still choses to run I will see it as her power grab and refusal to step down and acknowledge that Americans dislike her. She would sacrifice her party in order to keep her power.

I agree with you that she is very much hated, although I don't know if she has pushed the Party left, or if the parties themselves have shifted left/right. I guess that is another topic though.

Anyone who knows anything about politics knows Nancy Pelosi's main political challenges within the Democratic party are from the left, not the right. She responsibly opposed impeachment of GWB in 2007 and, for her trouble, earned an independent opponent, Cindy Sheehan, in 2008. Every year she is criticized for her lack of commitment to pure ideology; e.g., the “public option.” Pelosi is fundamentally a political pragmatist and her extraordinary legislative record shows that. The conservative attacks present here and elsewhere are ignorant of those political realities. It is sad and pathetic that people who claim to be interested in politics should be so poorly informed.

See what I mean? He's insane. He doesn't even think there's a conspiracy. He knows there's is one. Classic symptoms of somebody who is nothing more than a non-existent footnote in the tapestry of life. Keep that tin foil hat on Zimmy.

Ahhh... nice try Hat... but I'm not a conspiracy theorist of any sort. I'm starting to think you're wholly political illiterate, for you have thrown accusations out without any basis for backing them up.

The left's leadership has an aggressive mentality which drives hard toward Eurosocialism, and has for decades.
Where were the Blue Dawgs? Those who ran as Republicans in 2006... as Pelosi, Reid, Kerry and all the leftist radikals went into hiding?
I'm sure you have no idea what I'm talking about.

We sure didn't see any Blue Dawgs in the last Congress now did we, though many ran and won on that platform?

Where were these fiscal conservative Dems?

Where are those upholding The Constitution?

You have been exposed for a sack of hot air. I venture that's too much.

Just for amusement sake, where do you see conspiracy theory in my writings?
Is Milton Friedman one too? He called the pre-ObamaKare med system Commi.

...As you were.

ROTFLMFAO

More Kool-Aid please.

Some Republicans must really be pissed that Pelosi wins with overwhelming majorities each and every time. 70%, 80%, 85%.... I guess it must suck that they can't seem to find anybody to get her out.

She runs in the most liberal district in America. You think that a Republican not getting elected is telling of something?

It's easy to be a liberal in San Francisco, just like Rangel in Harlem. What a joke. I hope she stays, so she can **** the Democratic Party some more.

1. Denial is a wonderful thing... sometimes... this time.
2. Is she blaming Obama?
3. You Go Girl!

Do you feel better now?

Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean the Commies aren't out to get us.:afraid::alert:gunsmilie
