Obviously the simple nswer is no, Let them get on with it. But the US will not always be run by trump.
His craziness will soon be for gotten and we need to look beyond that dark shadow.
Obviously countries will need a lot of convincing that the US deserves suppoer but reluctantly I dont think it should be dismissed out of hand.

Why should Europe bail out our stupidity? tRump and his isolationism have decimated our relations with China.

Nearly half the US electorate voted Trump twice. Don't make the mistake that these people will simply vanish with him - look at how Brexiters have largely morphed into supporters of Reform.

Complex question. China has huge economic problems (as does the USA) and they might just choose to see who bankrupts the other just as the US did with the USSR. To answer your question though, the other NATO countries really need to look at whether they are best served aligning with America's goals and if that helps them. America does not align with our goals and never has - Trump is just the most obvious example of American interests dictating where the minnows will follow.

What struggle are you refering too?
Hey, When Europe doesn't want or need U.S. help and support, just let us know. I'm pretty sure Europe came calling numerous times in history to ask for the U.S. to bail them out. I don't know maybe you heard of WWI, WWII, NATO, Marshal Plan, United Nations, The Cold WAR. Sure glad Europe helped us so much.

I don't think bankrupting the US is the message China is sending.

China has no plan to take the U.S. on directly. It's not a war, economically or militarily they are sure they can win. They'll do what they always do, sneak around and make deals with make moves when we have weak ass leaders.

We supported the US in its crazy Afghan and Iraq nonsense. And we are still paying the price of that foolishness

What struggle do you think is real?

I think China will be weighing trumps lack of a spine and looking over to Taiwan. Its odds on he would let them have it.

Why do you care? You don't want Europe to help keep it.

Those deals and moves weaken the country as we are now experiencing with our weak ass orange, black & blue, swollen ankled brain addled "leader."

Europe will do what they always do - call a meeting and pretend simply having a "meeting" is somehow meaningful. And Canada's Carney will do all he can to try to make sure he's "included" in the VERY important (meaningless) meeting.

Please, the US military is still living off fumes from WW2. Name one war since 1945 that the US involved with that was worth the cost in blood and treasure.

......and Trump will give Putin two more weeks as if that is somehow meaningful

Europe has no Pacific interests? No Middle Eastern interests? It matters naught to Europe if the Suez is blocked? The Panama? Malacca Straits? Hormuz? Of course any crisis at those busy points affect Europe. But it does not look that way because The US has played policeman at those locatiions for Europe

Every European plan for Ukraine is a no-go if the US cannot be convinced to take an active part

They come up with excellent operations names: coalition of the willing, oil price caps, 19th sanctions package... There is also an Army, but it is only on paper

That is also our own responsibility. We very much didn’t have to send troops yet we did. Tony Blair made the case for the war in Iraq rhetorically better than Bush did and that was heard both sides of the pond.

All we got out of it is being the most powerful country in the world.

Allies help each other, as long as they're still allies.

Not to be that guy...but....not true. More of the US electorate did not vote at all, than voted for Trump...just saying!

There won't be a struggle.. the US already lost.

But so did China..

The future is India.
