someone ought to harpoon this silliness
Indeed - it is floundering, isn't it?
Dolphins, like apes and any other non-humans, should only be recognized as persons and given the rights thereof when they are capable of effectively demanding that we do so. Until they are capable of functioning as persons within our society, there is no reason that our society should award them any special recognition whatsoever.
I saw this thread and I thought to myself...I bet Solace started it.
If it is a lame thread with a stupid poll...odds are high Solace started it.
as soon as they start considering a fetus a non-person human...

What's a non-human person anyway?
A politician?
That was nearly the dumbest thing you could have said, next to something like "The Jews Control the Moon."
What is the relevance of that to dolphin sentience? You're simply, blatantly, and ineptly trying to derail this thread along partisan lines.
A fetus at 24 weeks is substantially less intelligent than a full-grown dolphin.yeah...right. I just find it funny that some people are more willing to give more rights to a dolphin than to a developing human.
It's not their fault that they evolved with flippers.
