No, absolutely not. It is an extremely unethical practice, and I believe "Ah-nold" was on the right track in trying to make it illegal.
You do know that the major unions force their members to contribute to the democratic party don't you?
Should and employee in a union be forced to contribute to politcal parties which he disagrees with?
I was a union member for 20+ years. I was NEVER forced to contribute to ANYONE nor was I ever bullied by anyone.
Why would the unions contribute to a party (republics) that was trying to legislate you out of existence?
I retired at age 50. Still young enough and healthy enough to enjoy and didn't have to get another job to make ends meet, quite the opposite. Try it, you might like it...LOL...

Maybe I misunderstood, I thought the question was, should an employee be personally forced to contribute.aquapub said:It doesn't have to happen with your knowledge. Those forced union dues go straight into the pockets of Democrats.
Why would I want to contribute to a party that was against my better interest?BWG said:Why would the unions contribute to a party (republics) that was trying to legislate you out of existence?
As I said, I have no complaints...aquapub said:And you just either have to eat that or not have a job (at least in most union-dominated fields).
only for the democratic party. There is no other party.
We use to have a comfortable traditional republican party, that taught traditional values.
Alas this party is gone. There is still a republican party, but it is a new party of everything for the rich, profit, death, starvation, unprovoked war, confusion, inuendo, and lies.
The new Republicans would make Lincoln roll over in his grave.
The Government of the People, for the People and by the People is gradually being eroded away by green house gases and the Neo conservatives.

And this has what to do with the subject of this thread?
Quick question : Is it possible that there are unions that have a contributions program where a member can say which political party he wants his money to go toward?
thanks Navy, I like being associated with real americans. Cindy and Michael are good examples of real patriots..Left wing whacko Cindy Sheehan and Michael Moore talking points, no more no less.......
