SHOCKING MOMENT: John Kennedy Reads Graphic Quotes From Childrens' Books At Senate Hearing

Lol. There is no comparison between that and the graphic sexual content that Kennedy read.
It's noted that you think incest is an appropriate subject for 15+ yrs to read as long as the descriptions aren't too graphic for your personal taste.

Wait, you think pushing an agenda is claiming things are being banned. And you don't even think those things are being banned in the 1st place?

What is sexually explicit material?

At today's Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) read aloud from controversial books that have caused upset among some conservative parents.

Is this sexually explicit material?...

Come, let us get our father drunk with wine so we can sleep with him and preserve his line.” 33So that night they got their father drunk with wine, and the firstborn went in and slept with her father; he was not aware when she lay down or when she got up. 34The next day the older daughter said to the younger, “Look, I slept with my father last night. Let us get him drunk with wine again tonight so you can go in and sleep with him and we can preserve our father’s line.”…

Why?
Incest, rape is not graphic?

See, it's all relative and subject to each person.

They are children. They are minors. If you want to introduce your kids to that sort of smut, that is your right. You dont get to do it to mine.
Your kids are no being forced to do anything. Where'd that notion come from?

Proving that was is or is not sexually explicit material is one's own personal judgement.

If they are so worried about library books, they can tell their kids to not check out certain material from a library.

That's the simplest solution. If a kid disobeys parents' forbidden reading list then the parent can discipline the kid. There are other sources from which kids can get what their parents consider inappropriate reading material other than school and public libraries. Amazon, drug stores, bookstores, newspaper and magazine stands, online, and from their peers to name a few. It's naive to think that kids can't access whatever they choose from sources other than school.

Is that why literally none of you Trumpists ever show up in all those threads cataloging sexual assault on children by clergy and Republicans, but only if someone starts a thread about a trans person doing something wrong in that general area? Because it's the kids you're worried about?

****ing bullshit. All you care about is attacking "the left" by all means, especially the foul ones. You don't actually care about these books nor do you think 15-16 year olds are too immature to handle it (quite a few of whom are already sexually active with each other anyway). Hell, you probably spent lots of time trying to get at daddy's Playboys. Those born more recently are watching straight-up porn at that age. You know that. But you're outraged at the left over this.

Yeah.

****ing.

Right.

^ Thread should have stopped with this excellent post.

More reports have come in.

The author of ‘Gender Queer’ responded to Sen. John Kennedy’s (R-La.) viral Senate reading of the memoir this week, which was meant to justify book bans.
The author, Maia Kobabe, told the Washington Post in an interview published Thursday that the conservative senator seemed to conflate the illustrated format with a book meant for children.
“‘Gender Queer’ is a comic, and in full color, but that doesn’t mean it’s for children,” Kobabe said. “I originally wrote it for my parents, and then for older teens who were already asking these questions about themselves. I don’t recommend this book for kids!”

Even the author of the book doesn't "recommend this book for kids!”
Yet some continue demand that this book be in grade school and middle libraries?
That this book not being made available to those age groups the equivalent to Nazi book burning?

Who's out way over their skis here?
Parents who don't want those age inappropriate books in their children's school library?
OR
Those who demand that those books be in their children's school library?

You make the call.

I can't believe this type of language is available to children:

"There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses."

Do you think it should be removed from all public schools?

Do you think books containing incestuous relationships should be in public schools?

How about we implement (or rather go back to) a no porn in school libraries policy?

This was never an issue until twisted leftists started stocking school libraries with books about their own sick sad perverted lives.

Imagine Senator Kennedy as your father sitting down with you to discuss the birds and the bees.
