More likely Thune will override this...even though he doesn't want to do that.Senate parliamentarian knocks pieces out of Trump’s megabill
Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough has ruled that several key pieces of the massive bill to implement President Trump’s agenda run afoul of the Byrd Rule and must be taken out of the packa…thehill.com
Among the key edits: removing the decrease in pay for Fed Reserve staff, capping funding for the CFPB and eliminating the PCAOB.
I suspect the next step in the process is that the MAGA goobers in the Senate will fire her and replace her with someone more in line with their thinking…perhaps someone who flunked out of eighth grade.

Indeed. They support the Parlimentarian when she rules against Dems and not when she rules against them.
... and the democrats ... Really?Indeed. The GOP supports the Parlimentarian when she rules against Dems but not when she rules against them.
It won't be the first time.
Senate Republicans Say They Will Overrule the Parliamentarian to Overturn EPA Policy
Republicans are planning to break decades of precedent to prevent California from phasing out gas cars.www.notus.org

That response was in response to a quote that Republicans only agree with the Parliamentarian when the ruling favors them. This is also true for Democrats. No clue what this means.

Read your own quote. You said, "Indeed. The GOP supports the Parlimentarian when she rules against Dems but not when she rules against them.Link?
They’re really showing Americans just how little they care about them, aren’t they?Unexpectedly, the GOP Senate version of Trump's 'Big, Ugly Tax Act' is even more draconian than the GOP House version.
Millions more Americans would lose their Medicaid health insurance.
Fox News poll spells bad news for Donald Trump's "Big, Beautiful Bill"
Less than half of Republicans believe the legislation will benefit their families, according to the poll.www.newsweek.com

The problem is that the One Big Beautiful Bill Act hurts Republican voters disproportionately more in red states. It will be especially devastating to rural areas and small towns.More likely Thune will override this...even though he doesn't want to do that.
The problem is that the One Big Beautiful Bill Act hurts Republican voters disproportionately more in red states. It will be especially devastating to rural areas and small towns.
It promises to savagely cut Medicaid and food stamps, programs that disproportionately help Trump-supporting rural areas.
Almost 40% of children are covered by Medicaid, with some of the highest percentages in deep red states like Alabama and Mississippi.
Furthermore, rural America has long had a problem of hospital closures: It’s hard for hospitals to stay in business given both low population density and limited ability of patients to pay. The Beautiful Bill will accelerate this trend, so that even rural residents who can afford care may very well find it geographically out of reach.
Regarding this thread, the House loaded the BBB with provisions that can’t be put in a reconciliation bill. The OP outlined one of those.
Or, they’ll finally learn that Trump is a phony, who wants tax cuts for billionaires paid by cuts to them. You know the good news about hurting all those rural Trump voters is this. They won't be alive to vote for Republicans in the future. They'll be moderately injured and die on the way to a Hospital far far away. They'll lose their Farms and Businesses and die homeless begging for scraps. They'll commit crimes to feed their families and be shot by other Republicans who are "standing their ground" against lawlessness. Or they'll be arrested and as criminals be unable to vote Republican. I'm not seeing a downside here.

I’ve yet to see much evidence that Trump voters are capable of learningOr, they’ll finally learn that Trump is a phony, who wants tax cuts for billionaires paid by cuts to them.
Rural folks are going to have their air and water increasingly poisoned while their access to healthcare recedes. The problem is that the One Big Beautiful Bill Act hurts Republican voters disproportionately more in red states. It will be especially devastating to rural areas and small towns.

Not in a budget bill. If one is concerned about AI write a law.Im most worried about the inability to regulate AI. Why isnt the parliamentarian worried about that?
