Cruz is only up by 5 points. This town hall could swiftly change that.

LOL, yeah, the nationally ranked college debate champ from Harvard is scared of Beto "Flee the Scene" O'Rourke.
Alas, we see what has become of Republicans, who now think that they must demonize Democrats -- unlike yesteryear, when members of the opposite party merely had differing policy views. In this demonizing, Republicans lie about the positions of Democrats. No, Democrats are not for 'open borders, killing cops and or killing white people.' This is scary, as Voltaire said, “Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.”No need to have some fake 'debate' when one has a big lead; it can only help the loser, so no reason for Cruz to have some fake 'Media Moment' with some traitor who thinks we need open borders, need to kill all cops and all white proles, i.e. the true Democrat Party platform.
Your post reads like you spent way too much of your life sucking on bongs.lol indeed. Betto looks like he spent way too much of his life sucking on bongs. He talks like he has, and his 'talking points' make it obvious he is pretty much clueless. This makes him a perfect Democrat, but doesn't do much for independents, but he's relying on the illegal alien vote so he doesn't have to care what Americans think, or make any sense.
Doctors gave my uncle only three months to live due to cancer. He lived another ten years. Nobody should pay attention to doctors, according to your logic.Pollsters lost as much credibility as most of the media in 2016. Nobody pays attention to them, at least nobody who isn't on drugs.

O'Rourke's "extraordinary political success" is illusionary. His national popularity is contingent on aesthetics and mass of coverage. It is merely that Beto looks and acts like the type of guy producers at most cable news networks and talk shows think a senator should look and act like -- unlike, say, Cruz (nearly two years older than Beto), who is always blathering about the Constitution and whatnot.
It's not as if O'Rourke is a special talent by any measure. His speeches and talking points are just as vacuous and predictable as those of any other middling politician. His positions on guns and abortion -- and a multitude of other issues -- are in lockstep with his party, not the state. O'Rourke has never offered any substantively impressive policy ideas. He has not led on any notable issues in the House. He's remarkably unremarkable.
Cruz agreed to it. He then withdrew.
Ironically, when Beto was negotiating earlier in the year about debates, the Cruz called him "scared" for not meeting all of Cruz's terms.
Beto is still in, which means he gets a full hour, to himself, answering questions in the Town Hall format. On national TV, no less.
The idea that no one will watch it, because it's on CNN, is slightly ridiculous.
you misspelled "presidency"People will watch however unfortunately for Beto it will not be Texas voters.
Beto walks and talks like a liberal media talking head perfect for CNN or MSNBC. That's why he is popular, not to Texans but the media.
He is auditioning for a TV gig.

appears its now obvious even to cruz that he suffers by direct comparison
Town hall is where candidates get to move on stage. They are not behind a lectern.
It produced those creey photos of Trump stalking behind HRC.
...giving her the 'Kavanaugh' stare.

Wonder if Hillary is still taking long walks in the woods? One good thing she no longer has a security clearance active.
