Sen. Lisa Murkowski mounting write-in bid for Senate JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski says she'll mount a write-in campaign in Alaska in an effort to hold onto her seat after last month's stunning Republican primary loss to Joe Miller.
Murkowski made her announcement Friday evening at a rally in Anchorage while surrounded by supporters chanting: "Run, Lisa, Run!"
Murkowski had gone back and forth on whether to re-enter the race since conceding the GOP primary to Miller on Aug. 31. She has said she entertained the possibility of a write-in campaign only after receiving an outpouring of encouragement from Alaskans.
During the primary campaign, the Tea Party-supported Miller cast Murkowski as part of the problem in an out-of-control Washington.
Well, after seeing what happened to Bennett in Utah by outside interests interfering in the election, I'm glad Murkowsky is still going to run as write in and apparently so are the people in Alaska. Apparently, they don't want to have to choose between voting for an extremist and a Democrat, they want to vote for someone who represents their interests, not the Koch's or Club for Growth or the far right nutjobs in the tea party.Clearly the Murkowski broad is going to put her personal agrandizement ahead of the interests of the Americans in Alaska by doing her best to help the Democrat scumbucket win the election. She not only has abolutely no chance of winning the election (she's not cute and cuddly looking like nice old Uncle Joey Leiberman, she looks like a post-menopausal angry dyke, very reminiscent of Janet Reno, with Hillary's shrillness on top.), she knows all this going in.
This is exactly why We The People are disgusted with the entrenched party favorites.

The standing joke in Utah is that Republicans were wearing Vote for Bennett T-shirts when they went in to the primary election and they came out wearing the Democrat's Vote for Granato T shirts because they were so disgusted with the extremists and outside influence taking over their local election.

What a... scuzzball. I hope someone pulls her aside and points out that her Political Career is over now. Period, she'll never get backed for another office again.
I wouldn't be so sure of that. Alaska's politics often don't reflect the politics of the rest of the country. For one, their republicans are far more libertarian minded than the rest of the country's. For another, their democrats tend to be slightly less liberal.
Who backs a selfish bitch sabotaging her opponent just cause she lost her election? Why back her, cause if she loses she might go all squirrelly and backstab you.

Really. Well, if you have enough money like Club for Growth does you can buy almost anything, including an election....If the "outside interests" didn't vote in the election, then the "outside interests" didn't interfere.
Isn't it ironic that the people funding Club for Growth are the same people who instigated and benefitted from the bank bailouts? Do you not see the glaring hypocrisy?Although the organization hopes to benefit from populist discontent, its roots are decidedly elite....
Club for Growth also runs an independent political group that spent about $5 million on Internet advertising and other activities during the 2008 elections, records show. Contributors to that group have included employees of J.P. Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs and the libertarian Cato Institute, according to data compiled by the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics.....
Over the past decade, the Club for Growth has gained a reputation for targeting centrist Republicans, like Specter and Crist, for being insufficiently conservative on fiscal issues. In the case of Bennett, the group objected to his vote in favor of the Wall Street bailout in 2008 -- a move backed by then-President Bush -- and his work with Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) on an alternate health-care overhaul plan.....
Club for Growth's electoral tactics causing headaches for GOP
The Chinese Army? Soros? ROTFLDo I recall your complaints when the Chinese Army gave money, lots of it, to Clinton's re-election campaign? Do I see you complaining about George Soros and his "interference" in current US elections?
LOL As if Mormons aren't the most collectivist people on the face of the earth, but just don't call them socialist because they're flaming Birchers doncha know?Bennett was dumped because he's too socialistic and the people of Utah are tired of that crap, like all real Americans are.

Who exactly is she backstabbing? I mean, it's not like she hasn't been clear about Miller being an opponent. It's not like she pretended to be his friend with an endorsement and THEN went and ran against him.
And in all honesty, a lot can happen to Miller between now and the election. Who's to say between Murkowski and the dem candidate, they can't pound him into irrelevance, leaving it wide open for her to win?
I would write in her name if I were there. In a heartbeat. The devil you know versus the one you don't and all that.
What ever Jall, she lost the primary, but like a spoiled child, she can't accept the people.
The people haven't voted in a general election yet. She isn't undermining anyone.
It certainly tells you how entitled some of the GOP brass selected candidates feel like.
That guy in Deleware wont even support O'Donnel and has already been in contact with Obama and Biden.
This is spring cleaning in the fall for the GOP.
Its pure spite, nothing more.
BS you know very well a Dem could win because she is acting like a snot-nosed brat. She is undermining Alaska and the Country.

Actually, it will likely split the Republican ticket since Republicans wouldn't have voted for a Democrat anyway. Otherwise, moderate Republicans would probably have stayed home and not voted at all, but now they have someone they can vote for. They just have to remember how to spell her name is all. LOLActually, this is going to end up helping the Republican nominee by siphoning off votes of those who are more moderate Republicans from the Democrat. In a two way race, I would call it close, but in a three way race, the GOP wins by a landslide.

For a guy criticizing entitlement, you seem to feel pretty entitled to the compliance of these politicians..
This is what no one pays attention to your political views and analysis, it's based on... nothing.
