A woman said Friday she was raped by Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax (D) in a “premeditated and aggressive” assault in 2000, while they both were undergraduate students at Duke University.
Through her attorney, Meredith Watson said she shared her account of sexual assault immediately after it happened with several classmates, who have provided statements. Her lawyer also said she shared her account with friends in a string of emails and Facebook messages.
Watson was friends with Fairfax at Duke but they never dated or had any romantic relationship, her lawyer said.
Ah, the Democrats: always snatching defeat from the jaws of victory...
No it is where society begins to hold people to account, in particular societies views on rape have changed
This occurred in 2000, but the US is also in the midst of how to address sexual assault on Campuses. Why they are not referred to police is mind boggling.

2nd case - he is done
Take the spot light away from the Governor, and he will dig in hard.
What???
I was wondering if there were more out there. Leopards don't change their spots. Telling her classmates at the time is the death nail. He is Toast!
This was after this rape allegedly occurred, but Obama's policies put jurisdiction in the hands of colleges and universities and shifted processing sexual assault crimes to tribunals, effectively circumventing the legal system.
Is it just a coincidence that just before this story broke, Northam dug his heels in and said he's not going to resign?
Northam needs to go, to. IF this has a ring of truth and Fairfax resigns, Virginia will be be led to healing and moving forward to get past this by Northam. He is incapable of leading and Virginia will need it more than ever.
But Northam doesn't care about what's best for Virginia. He is only concerned with his own political future.
Well if she did tell people at the time and they are willing to swear under oath its pretty damning.I don’t agree. Are the friends she supposedly told about This at the time the same as your references in your resume? If you’re making an allegation 5 days later you had plenty of time to come up with some veneer of credibility. Also remember Christine Blasey Ford claimed all kinds of witnesses her FBI friend tried to intimidate who still didn’t confirm her story

Isn't it just too coincidental that all three allegations came out within one week's time? I think the republicans are getting seriously panicked and are reaching for things that happened 30 years ago. I don't think they should resign either.
Rape has never been accepted in society.
Why are the republicans panicked? This is entirely the Democrats scandal. And let’s not forget the only reason this is now an issue is because of the false campaign against Judge K
Not what I posted.
They're panicked because all their dirty secrets are about to be uncovered by the 7 different investigations that the House is commencing.
Did anyone swear under oath in the Kavanaugh case?
