SCOTUS Overturns Lower Court's Order Forcing Trump To Reinstate Federal Employees Fired By DOGE

Earlier today, the Supreme Court lifted a lower-court order that directed the Trump administration to reinstate about 16,000 federal employees it fired, handing the White House yet another victory in stopping activist District judges from slowing its policies.

The justices agreed that environmental groups and other nonprofit organizations who say they were "harmed" by the reduction in public services caused by the layoffs lacked legal standing to bring suit. Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson dissented.

Today's ruling is the 3rd time in less than a week that SCOTUS justices have sided with the Trump administration in its fight against federal activist judges whose orders are designed to obstruct Trump’s agenda.

Not the big victory against so called activist judges as you think. And these judges only take cases brought before them, just like the Supreme Court. So the Supreme Court is just as much full of activist judges as well, but their activism is to side with their political ally Trump.
 
BIGGEST mistake Biden made is not packing this court when he had the chance. SMH.....

I think these activist federal judges who legislate from the bench should FIRST be impeached by a House Judiciary Committee.

Then AFTER conviction, they should be fired. Even activist judges are entitled to due process. (Amendments V and XIV)

ALL presidents appoint judges who side with them - without exception.

There has never been a time in history when a sitting President appointed judges from the opposition party. (That would be really dumb, obviously).

Anyways, not all three liberal justices dissented. Justice Kagan (wisely) sided with the conservatives to swat down the flawed ruling of the activist District judges. Good for her!

Trump has just recently had SCOTUS rulings go against him. Should he pack the SCOTUS?

And who should have the authority to terminate the employment of federal employees?

If a Supreme Court justice is displeased with a staffer and chooses to terminate their employment, should another judge or even the president have the ability to overrule the justice and force them to retain the unsatisfactory staff member?

I seeth with nothing. It's not hatred, it's called PURE CONTEMPT for a dispicable wannabe dictator petulant little baby-man. There's a big difference. We started out in 1789 with six Supreme court justices. By 1866 there were 10. We now have nine. You don't have any idea what you're talking about. The trumpdump replaced a good woman with Barrett, where were you when he rigged the SCOTUS with another hard right justice who he firmly believed would side with him in spite of the true rule of law these justices are sworn to uphold????

I believe the intent is to reduce government spending by reducing government payrolls. It's also felt that many of these government positions are wasteful and unnecessary. Ultimately, the goal is for more money to remain in the pockets of the people in order to better their standards of living. Is this something that you can support?
