Scottish students racially abused in Wales

A group of Scouts travelling to a camp in a Gwent town suffered racist abuse after
being mistaken for asylum seekers.

Last Wednesday, (August 6) a bus containing Scouts that had travelled down from Scotland to the
CRAI Scout Activity Park in Newbridge were the target of ‘racially aggravated’ abuse.

The bus was seen travelling through the Newbridge area and contained children who from non-white ethnicities.​

Is this what Farage and his like have brought us to? This was a group of kids, Scottish kids on a fun trip to scout camp.

This story has been circulating for a couple of days but it also shows the level of stupidity among those on the British far-right as well as the level of hate that people like Farage has generated with his actions over the last few years.

It sounds like some people saw non-white people in tents on a campground and jumped to conclusions. The defense rebuttal is that most are under 18 and they're Scouts and the area is used for police dog training part of the year. The defense is somewhat more illuminating than the attack, since it illustrates what people will and won't tolerate, I guess.

Once a society accepts that poor people don't have a right to live cheaply, the rest is just a matter of churning the numbers and coming up with a consistent calculation.
