Of course the irony here is nothing short of meteoric: Brown steals Dole's (most likely apocryphal) just-so story about accepting personal responsibility for one's behavior and then blames his underlings for using the wrong lie to validate his lies about his upbringing.

I was encouraged to join causes larger than myself, to pursue positive change through a sense of mission, and to stand up for what I believe.”
Brown spokesman John Donnelly told the Boston Globe that the copied text was a staff mistake.
