Yah, the article in the OP is from July 2014, 8 years ago. There's been no follow-up since then? No studies either confirming or denying the premise that metaphysics is so deeply ingrainted in human brains that it can't be eliminated by an act of human will? That seems like a topic that would draw a lot of interest. No one's followed up on it?

And? There are countless posts in this forum in which posters disagree with the position stated in the OP and accompanying documents.Wrong...your point is not the point the article is making...

Right, atheism is just denial of reality and an attempt to escape having to come to terms with one's eternal fate.
Yah. The blogger you referenced has to play tag with the Communist Chinese intelligence agencies, & they're sufficiently paranoid & dedicated to make it a real risk, with very real outcomes.lol, 8 years ago...cuz that's so long ago...
Would you like to hear the flip-side of the coin? As told by a JW Mom on Quora...Yeah shunning isnt optional. Most ex JWs i speak to feel as if their entire family has abandoned them and it hurts them.
And the people who say that are often caught up in new age woo themselves. Some people say religious people are very poorly educated.
Everyone is born an agnostic. No one could be "born an atheist" unless it was symptom of a mental or genetic defect. People can merely be indoctrinated into believing they're atheists.
